Very nice selection for breakfast each day. We stayed 2 nights in order to have enough time to see the attractions of Lexington and Natural Bridge.

I was given a refrigerator for my room because I have a small child who needs food and beverage kept cold. This refrigerator did not work. There was serious inflexibility to allocate another one, however I was told I could switch rooms to a room with a refrigerator. I did not understand why I couldn't just move the working refrigerator to my current room if there was one available. It seems to me that this would've been a better situation as then the hotel would not have two dirty rooms and I wouldn't have to move in the late evening when we were already settled. The front desk person came to the room to check it out and said he would have to call the maintenance person in to work because they are the ONLY people allowed to move refrigerators around (not sure why this is...) and I told him we could sort it out tomorrow because it was already 11pm and he left. At midnight I received a call on my room phone which I didn't answer, the following morning the front desk person told me maintenance staff came in to swap my refrigerator, called me on room phone, couldn't get a hold of me, this was disappointing after I asked him to wait till the next day that he would go against what I had asked and have someone call and wake up my wife and baby at midnight.
I have stayed in literally tons and tons of holiday inn and holiday inn expresses all over the world and I have never been in one of these hotels that has a slower elevator.
I asked for late checkout and was refused, first time ever, I was later given 1 hour late checkout but they said they would only be making up the room the following day. In this case i didn't understand why it couldn't be extended the standard 2 hours.
The room, outdoor presentation of the hotel and landscaping, etc. was up to normal standard but the staff, customer service, and decision making was sub par in my opinion.

I am a frequent traveler and highly commend this hotel for their staff, amenities and the hotel location. The next time I pass through Lexington, I will absolutely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel and Stay was Excellent.

In trying to find the hotel it was easy to miss, which I did because the HIE sign was 50 feet in the air. As the driver of the car I am used to signs that are can be seen at a much lower level.
This is a trait that HIE is using in their hotels and is bad for the traveler.
The shower heads in the bathrooms are big, clumsy, hard to adjust.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The walls are thin. We had a few loud neighbors above us and beside us. The room was nice and cozy. Breakfast was scheduled for a long period of time that I am not use to and that was great. I did not have to get up extra early to eat and go back to bed.
