The staff were very welcoming and the rooms very comfortable though have to say I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast , not a good selection and the scrambled egg inparticular left a lot to be desired.

From my initial telephone booking to checkout, I found the service and attitude of the staff excellent. We had a family room (2 double beds). The room was spotless. Sufficient towels. Forgotten toiletries were available free on demand. Relaxed atmosphere in the bar at night, with complementary hot drinks. Continental and/or cooked breakfast, although I did notice the absence of bacon in the hot food choice. As we were attending Crufts (NEC only 20 mins away), we had a small dog with us which is crate-trained. There was no additional charge for our dog. Unbeatable value. Parking at the hotel was good, and there was a MacDonald's and a Frankie and Benny's on site. Definitely my NEC hotspot for accommodation in the future.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived on Friday evening 1.3.13. The staff were very helpful, the receptionist, a young man , went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and even delivered an ironing board to our room to save us having to return to reception to collect it. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

It's a convenient location (but be careful as my sat nav always wanted to route me via the M6 toll road) and a basic hotel. The staff try hard to make their guests feel welcome.
Everything is 'just about OK' for a couple of nights. Any more and you'll be crying out for a comfortable bed and pillow.

Experience spoilt on two visits by very unsatisfactory breakfast. Hot food limited choice and poor quality and croissant / pastries rock hard. Accept hotel is budget price but that is no excuse for low standards. Perhaps better to charge for breakfast Continental or English and provide something better

If you get a room which faces the road then it can be a little noisy.
That was the only issue with the accommodation.
The Free Breakfast was ok I took the healthy option and had some cereals and toast.

The hotel was ideal for our purpose, which was a good value hotel for one night. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good value for the money, you can eat as little or as much as you want. What let's this hotel down is the sleepless night we had. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows are really cheap and having lables on indicating firm or soft is a waste of time, they were all the same, lumpy. The quilt is also very thin and felt like you needed more bedding. I would not want to stay for more than one night because of this, which is a shame as it is conveniently situated for Lichfield and surrounding areas.

room was warm and clean
breakfast was better than expected, hot foods were replenished frequently and there something to suit all tastes
convenient location - short drive into Lichfield and easy access to main routes

My husband & I have stayed at this venue several times now whilst visiting the NEC. We find the location and proximity to our destination very convenient. The standard of acommodation has always been very good and good value.

Great staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.we were four adults and two small children the game room was great to keep them busy until their bedtime.Rooms very clean and reasonably spacious with the children. Would stay again great deal with Drayton manor

After a long journey it was very pleasent to be welcomed by Harp,
who looked after us until the minute we left.
We were impressed by the hotel and the service and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks for a most comfortable stay.

We stay here regularly as family in Lichfield. Always warmly welcomed and just sorry some of the staff moving on to new careers.
Cannot fault the service and the friendliness of the staff. Food always fresh and good.

After a long day on our feet at the National Memorial Arbouretum it was a great disappointment to find the the HIE had no hot water either in the evening or the next morning. Apart from a scribbled note there was little explaination or apology.

Initially we had some mix up with our room but the staff soon had it sorted and couldn't have been more apologetic. The staff in general were very helpful and pleasant. Were helpful with local information. The one negative comment I would make is that while they leave information about towels not being changed everyday to help with the Eco footprint, there staff do not seem to know their policy and towels were changed each day much to our frustration

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room had everything it needed and the bed was really comfortable. The children really enjoyed the games room with the wii and games although they did say they would like a few more games in it. However they were so impressed they wanted us to come back for a week. 'awesome' they said. It was pretty good I agreed.
