I found it very odd to open my door and see the bathroom sink right there. I think I had an handicap accessible room, which I did not request but got and maybe that was why the room was like it was. Also about 4-5am it sounded as if someone had turned on the water to fill a bucket in my room. I'm not sure if it was just the fact that the hotel was older(but still in good condition) but I found the water noise a bit much. Overall the location &, price were what I would consider average to fair. Staff was excellent and very inviting. Not my #1 choice for next time but would be ok if had to.

We were unfortunate enough to stay at this location on a NU football weekend. Very over priced! Rooms were average and desk staff were not very professional as to their appearance and knowledge.
We have stayed at many Holiday Inn / Express properties and this was our least favorite experience.

We are regular users of Holiday Inn Express hotels and have stayed in many properties around the country, some great and some not so much. We have stayed at this hotel several times, and always thought it was at the lower end of the quality scale, but this time it was just plain bad. The bathroom was small and not well cleaned, the bed was old and substandard, and there were a variety of irritating plumbing noises coming from places surrounding our room. The air conditioning was also loud, which made sleeping difficult. The first floor ice machine had no ice. The staff seemed not to care much about anything. The breakfast selection was limited and pretty tasteless. We will not stay there again - the slightly lower price is not worth it.

All in all, our (my wife and I) stay was OK. Nothing outstanding, but adequate. We were recognized as platinum IHG Reward members and given two snack packs when registering.
We were on our vacation of ten days and I must admit, I don't recall anything extraordinary about this establishment. It met our needs, and since we used a Chase Visa Anniversary free night, who am I to complain? However, a couple of things did stick out in my memory.
The elevator is incredibly slow. If you are on the 2nd floor and don't have much luggage, just take the stairs. If you're on the 3rd floor, be prepared to wait a bit.
The ice machines are on the first and third floors. We were on the 2nd floor, so a minor inconvenience of having to take the stairs to get ice.
The breakfast was okay but a bit hectic. To be fair, there was a custom auto club staying at our hotel and the state fair was going on, so the hotel was probably full or nearly so. The poor gal running the breakfast bar was doing her best to keep up, but we had to wait for a few items on the hot breakfast bar to be replaced. My main complaint though, is that you need four hands to get the hot foods. There was no place to set your plate down so that you could take the lids off the hot food and and serve yourself. It took some juggling to do this, which of course, slowed down the whole process for everyone.
We did get a good night's sleep though, and I guess that is really the most important thing when staying at a hotel. I've been in better, but I've certainly been in much worse as well.

I've stayed at several Holiday Inn Express hotels, and have been very satisfied with them. This hotel isn't in that category. The beds were very uncomfortable - mattresses seemed to be quite old. The bathroom and shower were extremely small. There were no grip bars in the shower. There wasn't even a fan in the bathroom! The breakfast selection was very minimal, and the breakfast area wasn't kept clean. The room was acceptably clean, and the front desk staff were very friendly. I'd stay at this hotel again only if there were no other vacancies at other local hotels.

I stay in a great many Holiday Inn properties on business and this was without a doubt one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had. Overall, the property was not just dated, it was dirty. The two front desk personnel who I encountered appeared to have slept in their clothes and the breakfast selection was limited. I could not in good conscience recommend this hotel.

This is the worst hotel experience I have had in the last 15 years! Upon entering the property the musty smell was overwhelming and at that point I should have cancelled and found another place to stay. Because we were there with a ball team we decided that we would take one "for the team". Bad choice.
There was no air conditioning in the hallways and they smelled very musty and old, much worse than the lobby area. Our hotel room had the same stale, musty smell.
When I opened the door to the bathroom and looked at the toilet, there was black mold visible at the top of the toilet bowl. YUCK!
When my kids went down for the continental breakfast the next morning the milk we curdled, needless to say they did not finish anything after tasting sour milk.
I will never stay at a Holiday Inn Express again because I don't ever want to take the chance.

Another great stay. The beds are comfortable and the staff are great. However, the breakfast area needs some improvement. The food is not re-stocked in a timely manner especially after a "breakfast rush." Overall would stay at here again.

Check in was good. Noticed I was a Priority Member and I received a bottle of water and cookies. The chlorine was a bit strong walking by the pool. Breakfast was Cinnamon rolls, etc. Not sure why this hotel had Lemonade instead of Cranberry juice along with Orange juice? Things that would be nice with breakfast would be chocolate milk, cappuccino, also maybe nutrition bars to go. Also if customers fill out survey's and are accepted, put a minimum of 100 points to their account!!

This was a nice facility with very friendly and helpful staff. We were especially impressed by the woman who ran the breakfast room. She was great. We also liked the nifty pancake maker.

I'm a faithful Holiday Inn Express visitor. I choose to stay at Holiday Inn Express before any other for price and reliability of a great nights sleep. I have stayed at this location before this visit and was put in a handicap room. If you get in a handicap room, you may be annoyed by the water from your shower spilling out onto the floor of the bathroom. But that is understandable since it is a wheelchair accessible room. This stay, however, I was disappointed in the quality of the room in comparison to every other Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. It was considered a suite. It had the smallest mini fridge ever, I couldn't fit the take home container from a restaurant in it without tilting it to shut the door. Most other HIE, I've stayed in, supply paper towels and a couple of paper plates & plastic utensils, not this one. It was the little things that bothered me on this visit. The bed was the reliable GREAT nights sleep and the temp of the rooms was super! I think perhaps this location just needs some updating. The room was bland and the TV was right next to the sink, which is a little nerve wracking that you might get water on it. The location of this hotel was super, with it being close to the university if you're visiting for the school. It has a Sonic right next to it, as well as two other restaurants in walking distance if needed. We did not try out the breakfast, so I can't comment on that part.

This location needs to invest in a water conditioning system and some CLR for the shower heads and the the pool area. They have so much lime in the water, all the shower heads are plugged to the point that the water comes out in a jet that is painful. The lime on the hot-tub looks like nicotine stains on everything.
Breakfast ran out of stuff and blaimed it on the delivery truck. Asked if they could buy some at a local store to have the next day and that was not allowed.

Have stayed here off and on for 3 years. First time to be there when it was full. Had to turn off water at commode because it wouldn't quit running and couldn't change to another room. The bed was uncomfortable, the walls are thin and the next door guests were noisy. Had to hunt someone to get more coffee. With full hotel perhaps more than one person should have been on duty. I believe it is time for this hotel to have some upgrades.

We spent the weekend at the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were clean and comfortable but were of th older style and did not have a table. I was able to work in the breakfast area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the same high standard as other Holiday Inn Express.
The motel was located nera restrauants and stores. Being a block off the maid highway you did not have the noise but did have the ease of getting back on I80.

FIRST NIGHT WAS TOO WARM SECOND NIGHT TO COOL , TOILET REFILLED EVERY 20-30 MINUTES
ROOM KEY DIDN'T WORK AFTER RETURNING FROM SHOPPING ON 2ND DAY , HAD TO GO DOWNSTAIRS WITH ALL SHOPPING BAGS TO FIX KEY, NO ONE AT DESK , FINALLY CALLED HOTEL FROM CELL PHONE TO GET HELP AT FRONT DESK.
NO MICROWAVE OR FRIG IN ROOM,
BREAKFAST STOPPED AT 930 AM , WAS DOWNSTAIRS AT 900AM HAD TO WAIT FOR MORE "FOOD" TO BE MADE.
I TOLD PERSON WHEN I MADE RESERV. I WAS A PRIORITY CLUB MEMBER, NO MENTION WHEN CHECKED IN, WHEN I ASKED PERSON AT DESK SAID IT WASN'T ON MY RESERV.
THEY DID ADD IT ON MY PROMPT.

We originally booked a two-queen standard room however, in this particular hotel, the two-queen rooms are VERY small. With two adults and two kids we barely had enough room to keep our bags. After speaking with the staff (who were very friendly and helpful), they moved us to a king suite. It was definitely a lot better however the pull-out couch was uncomfortable for my 15-year-old. All in all the hotel was good but not great. It seemed like both rooms were aging - tiles and grout cracking, etc. We enjoyed our stay but may look at other options for our next stay.

Usually stay here all the time when in Lincoln,will seriously rethink next stay in Lincoln. Hottub broken and not fixed when the front desk said it would be. Had to rekey my key everyday even though had reserved 3 nights, what a pain.. Called and set up wake up call and low and behold not wake up call next morning happened twice. No newspaper each morning and could not be given a reason why in front of door, had to research it on my own due to membership level. Evening clerk did not seem to have it all together, check in was a little time consuming.

The Holiday Inn Express was reasonably priced. The breakfast was very good and had a variety of choices. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The motel felt safe and secured. The main lobby, hallways, and room were very clean and the bed was comfortable. I have stayed at this motel many times and I have always been glad that I did.

As a result of the work the air conditioners were loose in the walls and one of them was vibrating so strongly it was coming thru the wall and floor into my room from another room. Mine was off. I checked all around to find the source and finally determined the cause. Kind of strange and nothing I could do and I doubt the hotel could either as we took the last available rooms that night. Other than that the work they were doing looked nice and I'm sure will be good in a month or two.

The hotel appears to be very outdated compared to other comparable accomodations. A remodel is definitely in order. In the future, I will stay at the other HIE on the SE part of town.
Room had no hot water on Saturday morning. The lady was very helpful on the phone, and did credit our night's stay (which I did not expect). So, that was very nice customer service.
