Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel in nice location in Lincoln, NE. I am glad that I booked this hotel on my recent visit to Lincoln, NE. It is located about 15 minutes from town. It is in a quiet area, yet there's plenty to do right around the hotel. There's a Walmart and a SAM's club right across the street. I had dinner at a restaurant called Greenfields which is adjacent to the hotel. The food was very good. I was able to have a room on the first floor. It was a Sunday night and it was very quiet and peaceful, so I was able to work in my room undisturbed. If I stay in Lincoln, NE again I will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT dog friendly hotel When traveling with our dog we often expect a bit of a compromise in the room BUT this Holiday Inn Express in South LIncoln, was incredibly clean, friendly (and not discriminating about the size of our dog -- he's large but he doesn't bark, scratch and is VERY friendly) which is nice because some hotels limit pet size to 30 pounds. The room was GREAT and even though it was a couple of minutes out of our way we would certainly stay there again. The staff was great, breakfast wonderful and there were nice grassy areas to walk our dog. Perfect!!! I highly recommend this hotel -- with or without a pet but especially for those of us looking for a great pet friendly hotel. JH September 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Medical procedure stay I had to have a medical procedure done at the Nebraska Heart Hospital near this HIE and needed to come in the day prior so I could check in to the hospital at 5:00 a.m. on Sept 2nd. We were very pleased to find we'd been put in a King Suite that was well appointed, clean and modern and had everything we've come to expect from our stays with HIE. My wife spent the next night as I was to spend one night after the procedure in the hospital. I had some complications and after she'd already checked out on Wednesday morning, Sept 3rd, we realized she'd need to stay another night. We were both very pleased when they put her in another room, basically exactly like the first room! She was able to enjoy the great breakfast each morning, even the first morning after getting me "checked in" at hospital and each morning there after. We just feel like we're always treated like "family" when we stay with HIE's anywhere we travel. This one was exceptionally great in that regard. THANKS to the HIE staff for taking good care of my wife! September 7, 2014
