Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by F34R First time with Holiday Inn Express, it was a pleasure.
This was our first time choosing Holiday Inn Express. The initial choice was from other family members that have used it, and it was close to the conference we attended.
We arrived late at night and the check-in was really quick and the attendant was really nice and friendly.
We arrived in the room, and it was extremely well cleaned. Everything looked in place. Whoever serviced our room, I wish could come to my house.
The bed was a little on the hard side, and wasn't really comfortable for me. The pillows were perfect, as were the linens.
Woke up early, went to breakfast at the 6:00am time breakfast was scheduled to start. Everything was already prepared, warm, and displayed very nicely. The nice lady that was setting out the food was very nice and polite. I explained I hadn't ever seen a pancake machine like what they were using. She explained how it worked, and showed me as well. I thought it was a nice touch.
After my wife left for the conference, I basically just stayed in the room. I did ask the nice lady at the front if it would cost more to hang out a little longer than the listed 11:00am check-out time. I explained that I would basically be sitting outside until my wife returned around 5:00pm from the conference. I asked if I could stay a little longer, and she said it wasn't a problem at all.
I said I would stay until 12:00pm so as to not overstay my welcome. She said it wasn't an issue at all. When 12:00pm came around, she called and asked if I wanted or needed more time. I thanked her for asking, and I would have stayed longer but I felt I would be an imposition at that point.
I gathered my belongings, straightened up the room, and went to check out. Check-out was quick, and the lady at the front was super friendly and polite.
So, other than the bed complaint, it was a perfect stay.

I was impressed with the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff, and I mean all of them. They all appeared to be well motivated, attentive and responsive to the customer's needs. I felt like I was at home. My room was in very good condition and very clean. The bed was fantastic. I don't sleep this good at home. I will definitely stay again.

We had reservations for a king size bed, upon check in we were told that all they had was a room with 2 queen size beds. Not really what we wanted but had no choice but to accept since we had our dog with us. The desk staff were friendly but the breakfast staff was a little rude with a customer. The eggs were cold but the variety was fine. Will stay again.

This is the best hotel to stay in while in Little River, SC. It's a clean, comfortable hotel with a good breakfast and a very responsive and friendly staff. If you can swing one of the suites, it overlooks the marina in Little River, which is just perfect.
