We arrived early and were promptly checked in, which was great after such a long drive from MA. the staff was extremely courteous. Great marina out back except you need another table outdoors (only 1 now) so more guests can enjoy the marina view at breakfast. Staff is always great August 27, 2014

I booked a 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and sleeper sofa and got 2 full beds and at check in I let them know and was told they didn't have suites with 2 queen beds. Either 1 king or 2 full in the suites. Our daughter was SUPPOSED to sleep in the living room on the sleeper sofa but it got too hot August 24, 2014

We prefer to be within a short driving distance of major Vacation sites. This site is perfect for that relationship with Myrtle Beach. In addition, we discovered there is a lot to enjoy in the Little River / Cherry Grove Beach area itself. Less stress, more enjoyment! August 23, 2014

That is at least a $10 to $15 saving per person. The room was average (it was like any other hotel) and it had a pool that went as high as 5 feet. August 21, 2014

Joy, manager was able to allow for us to arrive a day early and extend an extra day for fair price. Recommend this place for the price, location, and friendly staff. August 19, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall best Holiday Inn Express I've stayed at This property seemed to be a Holiday Inn that was remodeled and rebranded a Holiday Inn Express. When I looked at the Google street view, it looked the same but had a Holiday Inn sign but has a Holiday Inn Express sign now. First, the things that need improvement. The entrance needs just a little sprucing up, not much, just a touch because it doesn't to the interior justice. Secondly, they need to drop the cheese omelets and sausage patties from the breakfast menu. The scrambled eggs and link sausage they had the first morning I was there were not the best I've had but much better than the omelets and patties. That said, this is the best Holiday Inn Express I've ever stayed at. Especially on the interior, it seemed perfectly maintained and squeaky clean. Good TV, not noisy, just an overall good feel to the place. Staff was friendly and helpful without overdoing it. Not far from beaches but much cheaper than on the beach. Would not hesitate to recommend and will be staying there again on our next trip. August 17, 2014

Staff was great and friendly. Breakfast was average. Only issue we had was the A/C was kind a loud was kind a annoying after a week stay, wish it was central air instead of window type. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great Motel Terrible Breakfast Motel was great, Front staff was great,Rooms clean. The lady that was in charge of the breakfast area sure isn't doing this hotel and favors. The coffee was cold, when I brought it to her attention instead of saying let me check, she said the coffee pots hold the coffee hot for two days. I guess this coffee must have been three days old because it was stone cold, She was VERY NASTY. The pancake machine was not working. The whole breakfast area need to have the management take a good look at it and fix what's wrong starting with the Lady in charge of that area. August 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good choice for a short beach trip We have stayed at several properties in this area and this hotel is the best to date. We chose the two bedroom suite and it comfortably accommodated two adults and two teenagers. This room had a nice view of the marina and was very quiet. The room was clean, the bathrooms were functional, the mini-fridge and microwave worked fine. There was a sleeper-sofa we did not use. The breakfast options were good enough, there were plenty of tables, maybe the only issue some might face is service ends at 9AM. There is a slight hassle in that only one elevator exists so we ended up using the stairs except to trundle luggage in/out. The hotel staff were quite friendly, check-in was painless and actually quite informative, including enrolling in the IHG rewards program to get points for the current visit. Knowing as we do what the other options are, we would definitely stay here again. August 9, 2014

What we didn't realize that the hotel was located at the Myrtle Beach Yacht Club with a beautiful view and boardwalk. Also, there is an excellent restaurant named Clarks across the parking lot. The location does get some noise from the highway, but we kept the air conditioning fan on to block it out. July 28, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay, unsustainable hotel Overall, great hotel with clean rooms. However, the hotel provided the guests with complimentary newspapers in the morning and, when asking the staff where the recycling was located (in order to properly and responsibly dispose of my newspaper), the staff member told me the hotel did not recycle. As an environmental consultant in the area for business, I was extremely disappointed in the lack of recycling being conducted at this hotel. The overall stay was excellent, however this was nearly overshadowed by the irresponsible waste of recyclable newspapers that were given to every guest. If every guest is given a newspaper every day, imagine the amount of newspapers that enter the landfills simply due to an easy fix--such as putting recycling bins throughout the hotel common spaces and guest rooms. I will not stay at this hotel again, nor recommend it, until this hotel becomes more responsible and sustainable. July 16, 2014

We are always concerned about finding a hotel where doors aren't being slammed all night long, children aren't running down the halls and screaming at late hours (when they should be in their rooms in bed), and the room AC unit doesn't rattle like a Richter 9 earthquake. We were very delighted that we didn't experience any of these problems at this hotel! The room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We could actually SLEEP at this hotel (imagine that)! The room had a small refrigerator (that works) and a microwave (that works), and a coffee maker (but we didn't use it). The WiFi in the room worked great -- no problems. The cable TV also worked great -- no problems. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was great with the main course changing each day. The breakfast area faces out towards the Coquina Marina -- great view while enjoying your breakfast. The only negative that I could think of is that the carpet in the room could have been vacuumed better. I highly recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay! July 13, 2014
