It was less than 25 years since we left Myrtle Beach and moved to Idaho courtesy of USAF. It was nice to be back. Holiday Inn at Little River was more than enough for our needs -- their staff were excellent; the guest room was fantastic, and the hotel surrounding was impeccable. However, the breakfast was awful -- I guess it is a standard in Holiday Inn to serve these kind of breakfast -- they feel and tasted like MREs (Meals-Ready-To-Eat) and I felt that I was back in the service. We've been everywhere in the world and Holiday Inns and other national chain hotels are serving the same breakfast. I can understand from other chain hotels but not from Holiday Inns since they charge their customers sometimes ridiculous rates. Maybe, I expected too much, but it is Holiday Inn and I should expect more.... Since I cannot mention other hotel names I wont; but there are hotel chains that served their customers really fine breakfast and not like it was MREs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gsandss27 Nice facility with some minor issues
This is a modern, accessible facility with very good quality rooms and amenities. Some minor issues involved a difficult door lock and a smelly hallway. Rate for staying was rather high for the season and the room itself, but it was in the perfect location for our stay and was close to some excellent restaurants, especially The Parson's Table restaurant. I would stay there again, in spite of the minor problems, as the hotel is clean and comfortable with ample parking and a nice location.
