Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good and inexpensive short stay We were going over to the Isle of Man the next morning and we needed somewhere to spend the night. The Holiday Inn Express turned out to be great. It was quiet, the room was clean, the staff were helpful and there was a choice of pillows (hard or soft). We were a bit worried about the planes being loud but it was fine. We only needed about 30 minutes to get to the docks the next morning for the ferry. The car park was full when we arrived but one of the "lads" at reception told us that he would move his car and we could park there - brilliant. July 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Car Parking Chaos The hotel car park has been turned into a long stay car park for those flying out of John Lennon Airport. This has got completely out of hand, meaning no parking for regular hotel guests. Instead of finding alternative long term parking, and realising that it has seriously messed up, the hotel has carried on regardless. There are cars double parked, on grass verges, in the few disabled spaces and now outside the hotel on double yellow lines, waiting to be clamped or towed away. We are checking out two nights early, as the situation is intolerable, and getting still worse. There has been a deathly silence from hotel management. Do not stay here if you have a car. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy I booked two rooms two months ago for myself and my cousin. On arrival we were allocated two vast disabled rooms. The bathroom had just a shower curtain and a small mirror at waist height. I immediately went to reception to try and change these rooms. After about half an hour I managed to change one. The receptionist told me that these rooms were exactly the same as the other rooms but with a few additions, obviously she had limited knowledge of the rooms in the hotel she worked in because they were not alike at all. We were away on a special birthday celebration and my cousin found the room she had too depressing to spend time in. This was not a late booking and I paid full price for both rooms. July 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fab The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly on the reception and bar area. Offered help with taxis and advice about local restaurants. We stayed the night prior to our holiday and they sorted our taxi to the airport and car parking. Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay there again if flying early hours from Liverpool. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Well Done ! July 2, 2014
