Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Low grade horrible breakfast I was disappointed over all with the holiday hotel and this was because of the breakfast mostly. There was no bacon on any day only a big dish of rubbery sausages. Also there was a big dish of horrible scrambled egg. No tomatoes grilled or fried egg. No pudding of mushrooms. It was really not nice when you would love a nice hot meal. The rest of the options were nice eg. cerals juice etc. but we were very disappointed each to find that this was all that was ever on offer . November 7, 2014

I was extremely disappointed that there was no bacon, eggs nor mushrooms for cooked breakfast choices. I had to have sausage and scrambled egg which I loathe. Just disappointed there was no choice. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Is this Hotel really part of the "Holiday Inn Group" Arriving at 21:00 on a Sunday night, Reception was quiet. Firstly, there was no recognition that I was an IHG Rewards Club Member. Secondly, when asked for my credit card, I presented my IHG Rewards Club "Visa" card, which was refused as not being a valid credit card!!! Only when I insisted, did the Receptionist enter the card details, which were of course immediately accepted by your system. Thirdly, no details of breakfast options given, Breakfast from 04:00 but no "Hot Food" until 06:00. 22:30 tried to book an early morning call, the same Receptionist informed us to use the booking system on the TV remote control. No such option existed, so called Reception again & were informed that someone would visit our Room to assist.. 21:15, no action, so I personally went down to Reception. Change of Staff. The night Duty manager informed me that this Hotel had not yet been equipped with this booking facility, apologised, booked it manually & went through checking out, breakfast options & ordering Taxi's for the transfer to the Airport Terminal. What should have been an easy "check in", a quiet couple of hours relaxing & watching TV, was instead a traumatic experience. Despite the apologies from the Reception Team upon "Check out" I will never use this Hotel again. October 31, 2014

A good value and convenient location for visiting Liverpool relatives, we will be regulars albeit only 4/5 times per year. October 29, 2014
