Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice clean, comfortable and DDA compliant hotel This was my second visit at this hotel and is one of the best hotels i have stayed at. As a wheelchair user, my needs are slightly different and require an accessible room. This hotel has great disabled facilities. A walk-in shower with folded chair mounted to the wall and easily accessible wash basin. Furthermore, the light weight door to get into the room is great and i did not struggle at all with opening and letting my self in and out of the room. I have stayed at a number of other hotels in the past who have so called "accessible rooms" which have not been assessable enough for my requirements. This is a great hotel, clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Highly recommended. I will be visiting this hotel again. September 22, 2014

Staff were great, food quality and options were great, convenient location for flights, clean and moden...all good ! Unfotunately, the room doors did not have gas/hydraulic devices to stop doors banging shut as guests come and go..and because they do at varying times for all the differing flghts, it disturbed our sleep occasionally Fix this and it would get 10/10 September 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Schlaflose Nächte und schlechtes WLAN Wie zuvor beschrieben, waren drei von vier nächten durch Lärm geprägt, bei denen an Schlaf nicht wirklich zu denken war. Das Zimmer wurde gewechselt, aber auch in den anderen Zimmer war ein erholsamer schlaf nicht möglich,. Das WLAN ist nicht verwendbar. Die Einrichtung des Zimmers ist hochwertig, Sauberkeit ok und Personal freundlich. Das Frühstück ist sehr eingeschränkt bei der Auswahl und bietet wenig Abwechslung September 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and value for money My wife and I stayed here for just the one night as we were going to Liverpool airport for our trip to Amsterdam. During our stay I found the service excellent and attentive and friendly staff. We both felt very welcome and we were both happy to know that we could enjoy a reasonably priced evening meal. The menu was quite basic but this didn't matter when we got our meal it was nice and tasty. In the morning we got our free breakfast and there was quite a good and continental was perfect for us as we had our breakfast early at 4am! I also think the park and go is an excellent idea and it worked well for us. When we returned from our break we arrived at the airport and needed a taxi I rang this hotel and they sorted me a taxi Thanks :) September 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and Fabulous Staff Having been forced to fly from Liverpool Airport at the lat moment due to missing our flight from Manchester because the M6 was a "car-park" we booked in at the last moment. The staff were brilliant (Rebecca on Reception was a star); the variety and presentation of drinks and food on offer so late at night was just perfect. Although there was a problem with the WiFi that night, the staff had made sure that everyone who needed internet access could do so in an orderly manner in the public areas. Booking a Taxi via Reception was easy and punctual. Good breakfast set us up for our flight to France. September 3, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No wifi Wifi which should have been available was broken, problem for getting work done etc. Had already made other arrangements to eat out as previous stay there was no dinners available and I had to have take away pizza. Kettle in room not working so had to have a r,pom change, quite an upheaval although staff were v helpful in helping me to move. Later realised the kettle didn't work because my key card should have been inserted in the wall to make it work. Why didn't staff know to suggest this, I can't be the first person to forget to do this surely. August 16, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! This was the worst hotel stay I have experienced in my life, granted it was a warm weekend however staying in a room with 2 kids under 10 and not being able to get a single minute sleep is not what I call a good experience. We were on the 5th floor and the temperature in the room was 33 degrees! okay so this hotel doesn't have air conditioning so I rang reception up at 2:30am asking if they had any fans for the room at which I was told for health and safety they can't provide fans and we're not allowed to bring one into the room. I was advised to open the window! Really? it opens literally 3cms! the room was completely unacceptable and without a doubt ruined our weekend in Liverpool. To give you an idea of how bad it was I checked out of the hotel on the Saturday morning with no hotel to go to luckily the Crown Plaza had a cancellation so we got into there for our 2nd night and got a great night sleep! AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS> July 30, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappy Stay We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 2 nights, but unfortunately the room had no air conditioning and the weather during our stay was sunny and very hot, resulting in a very hot uncomfortable room. We booked a family room for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby. We felt quite squashed in the room with all of our bags, the baby crib, pushchair, etc. We were only provided with towels for 2 adults, nothing for our daughter. There were no blankets provided for the sofa bed (which was very uncomfortable) or provided with the baby's crib. July 29, 2014

The room was big and clean and the staff were helpful during check in and out. Staff were busy tidying up after customers and cleaning tables during breakfast. Bad Points The road noise was loud even with the window closed and as it was very hot it made it very stuffy. We went down to breakfast at 9am and found that there wasn't much left, the eggs and beans were replenished but no bacon was seen and the sausages tasted cheap and nasty. July 27, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good and inexpensive short stay We were going over to the Isle of Man the next morning and we needed somewhere to spend the night. The Holiday Inn Express turned out to be great. It was quiet, the room was clean, the staff were helpful and there was a choice of pillows (hard or soft). We were a bit worried about the planes being loud but it was fine. We only needed about 30 minutes to get to the docks the next morning for the ferry. The car park was full when we arrived but one of the "lads" at reception told us that he would move his car and we could park there - brilliant. July 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Car Parking Chaos The hotel car park has been turned into a long stay car park for those flying out of John Lennon Airport. This has got completely out of hand, meaning no parking for regular hotel guests. Instead of finding alternative long term parking, and realising that it has seriously messed up, the hotel has carried on regardless. There are cars double parked, on grass verges, in the few disabled spaces and now outside the hotel on double yellow lines, waiting to be clamped or towed away. We are checking out two nights early, as the situation is intolerable, and getting still worse. There has been a deathly silence from hotel management. Do not stay here if you have a car. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy I booked two rooms two months ago for myself and my cousin. On arrival we were allocated two vast disabled rooms. The bathroom had just a shower curtain and a small mirror at waist height. I immediately went to reception to try and change these rooms. After about half an hour I managed to change one. The receptionist told me that these rooms were exactly the same as the other rooms but with a few additions, obviously she had limited knowledge of the rooms in the hotel she worked in because they were not alike at all. We were away on a special birthday celebration and my cousin found the room she had too depressing to spend time in. This was not a late booking and I paid full price for both rooms. July 2, 2014

We stayed the night prior to our holiday and they sorted our taxi to the airport and car parking. Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay there again if flying early hours from Liverpool.
