Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Suites I stay at the Holiday Inn Express quite often. Having to travel for my job, I stay about 3-5 nights a week. The rooms are exceptionally nice, clean and large. The only reason I marked "good" and not excellent on the variety of breakfast choices was because I only eat the bacon at breakfast and it seems as though they alternate days of bacon and sausage. Bacon is every other day or every few days. So on the days they have sausage, I don't eat there. Still a nice variety of food I guess, I'm just too picky. The majority of the staff is so very pleasant and knowledgeable and eager to please. Very convenient location, right next door to everything, i.e. movie theatre, beauty salons, home improvement stores, any fast food restaurant you desire, walmart, better dining restaurants, etc. Its all there! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place I work out of town so I tend to stay at this particular hotel a few times a week. Recently extended it to 4-5 nights a week. Everything about this hotel is great. Clean, spacious rooms, friendly (for the most of them) staff, all eager to please. I have enjoyed my stay at the holiday inn express in Logan. My only negative comments aren't about the particular hotel or the staff. I wasn't aware there was an IHG points program until December, at which time I signed up. I have been staying there since September but I can't get credit for the times that I stayed before then. I can kind of understand not being able to back date/issue points but I didn't even know this existed until December. If I had known, I would have signed up for it in September, knowing my job here would be until next May. Other than that, everything is great! January 27, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Check in In my experience with IHG properties, I have never been greeted as a guest with the indifference bordering on anger at being interrupted as I was upon check in to this property the evening of 12/17. When I arrived, I had to ring the bell multiple times and actually go looking for someone to check me in. When I finally saw the young lady who was working the front desk, she asked me "what do you want?". Upon answering that I would like to check in, she behaved as though it was a great burden to her to check me in. Acknowledgement of my platinum status was to have a bottled water shoved at me. This was easily one of the worst check in experiences I have had with IHG properties. I do have to say that the lady working the front desk the next morning was most pleasant and accommodating when I asked for a late check out. Perhaps some interpersonal skills training for the person working the night before would be in order. December 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and comfortable hotel. Very clean and nice location. The bedding was excellent and the pillows (for once) were a nice size. Unlike most hotels that have small pillows. Nice stay. Was a little disapointed in front desk staff. Traveling a lot as a platinum member, the hotel is often chosen because of rewards programs. When we checked in we didn't get thanked like we usually are at other places. It was like here is your bottle of water and keys. Not even a greeting hello. Just not impressed with the service. But great hotel. Desk staff needs to remember they are the first point of contact for the hotel and they leave a lasting impression. November 11, 2013
