Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable Having arrived at the hotel early on Saturday morning, I asked whether our room was ready for an early check in (9am) and as expected the rooms were still being prepared. However, the receptionist offered to store our luggage in a locked room and made it clear we could leave the car in the car park and get the train into London. They also informed us of bus and train information. Breakfast started at 6:30am, on a Sunday! This was a pleasant surprise as I had to leave early for the London Marathon and didn't expect to get breakfast at the hotel. Again we could leave the car at the hotel all day and pick up later even though we'd checked out. The room was clean and comfortable, a little cramped with the double bed and double sofa bed pulled out for the kids but really can't complain at the cost for a family of 4 and we all slept very well. The hotel had all that is required to sleep and eat fresh during breakfast. Good varieties of selection. Juices, bread, spread, scramble eggs.. April 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceeded my expectations I have stayed in quite a few medium priced chain-hotels, and since this was cheaper than some, I was not expecting much. I was very surprised at the quality of the rooms. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. Wifi and parking were free. My only disappointment was the somewhat limited choices for breakfast. Having said that, it was free and perfectly adequate considering we were going on a removal that morning. All in all we were very pleased and I will be looking for Holiday Inn Express for leisure stays from now on. April 10, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hot breakfast offer Excellent hotel for my needs - central to the location, ease of access, good parking. Staff were polite, helpful and very attentive. Room tidy and well maintained, well presented overall. Internet (free) rather slow, evening meal selection good for this type of hotel and of good quality and served with a smile! Good night's sleep and away to breakfast.......that's when it went wrong for me - the sausages appear to be of an inferior quality and actually spoilt my breakfast experience and tainted the stay for me, and my business day as a result. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptionally friendly staff, very clean hotel, great value for money The hotel comes recommended on Lea Valley ice skating competition website. We were very pleased with our stay. It is close enough to the rink (it took us half an hour to get there in stop start traffic). We were able to have a decent night sleep. The parking is free - huge bonus for London. Breakfast did not have a great choice, but croissants were fresh, and the food was decent enough considering it was included in the rate. The staff were very efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. If we are coming to skate next year, would definitely stay again. March 27, 2014

The parking is nice and easy and right next to the hotel. If you are staying here we thought it was good vaue for your money and after all it is only really for getting your head down for a good nights sleep, which we had. March 26, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stay for 2 nights Hotel condition is OK. Room is too small to accomodate 2 adult and 2 kids. There is no extra space once the sofa bed is set. Room temperature is difficult to control. Breakfast quality is good. Front desk charged the full amount on my credit card during check-in and converted the amount to Canadian dollor (instead of British Pound) without my consent. March 25, 2014

Staff are friendly and attentive but if your looking for a wide food choice this is not for you. They are happy for you to have takeaways delivered but the choice of evening meals is basically limited to boil in the bag...And Sundays are worse. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chingford Upon arrival we were greated by enthousiastic staff, who made every effort to have the rooms ready although we arrived earlier. The use of the Wi-Fi was explained clearly, and we were given a complimentary bottle of water as we are IHG Club Members. As we were visiting a football match, the staff arranged all our taxi needs, and provided good information concerning public transport on our day of departure. Overal, a pleasant stay, and very friendly, helpfull staff. March 3, 2014

It's clear that the old guard has given way to a bright new team of dedicated, customer-focused, service-oriented team. As an IHG Platinum-Ambassador reward member, that is heartening. I hope you keep it up. In particular, as someone who would complain when things aren't good, I feel obliged not just to praise when they do, but indeed to identify key actors by name. The trio of Jyoti, Laura and Jurgita were outstanding in helping to make my conference and week-long stay a happy experience for me and my delegates. Will surely return. February 27, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My Stay Although difficult to access via public transport other than bus, the hotel is well situated. The staff were very polite and willing to help and accommodate. The room was tidy and comfortable something you come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. Considering the hotels location next to A406 north Circular noise was very limited even in rush hour morning traffic. The breakfast was acceptable although lacking in variety, what was served however was fresh and tasty. Thank you February 25, 2014

You should note that its a £5 taxi ride away to the nearest underground. or there is a bus stop right outside which will take you there too. Was no hassle for us though. Staff were friendly and helpful, organised a taxi for us to the match!
