The room was very clean and the beds comfortable, however the bedding was very thin. Access to extra blankets would have been nice in case one person feels the cold more than the other.
The choice of cold food at breakfast was excellent, but the hot food selection was sadly limited. Sausage and scrambled egg does not make a cooked breakfast. Bacon would have been lovely, at least. Maybe mushrooms or tomatoes for people who don't like beans?

Well, we stayed at the Hotel last Friday and Saturday 9-10 Dec 2012.
We picked it for the location to Earls Court and the Military Tournement (Outstanding by the way!). I never looked up the hotel much before i booked, but the day before we left we made an effort, lots of positives and average, with a few negatives!
Well, i can tell you, this is a must!! the staff were excellent, be that the receptionists, Bar Staff, to the security staff. I was nervous after reading the walking after dark, but i can assure you, its fine! tube stations to the left and right of the main enterance, and about 6 mins each way, I liked the area, and liked everthing about the Hotel, its been decorated well, very modern bedrooms and whole area of ground floor. The only negative, was the wife didn't like eating her breakfast and seeing people at reception and street (It didn't bother me or my daughter....just a strange wife ??) Parking is a tad expensive at £20 a night, and limited spaces, but i'd rather pay that, than leave it anywhere else. Its a pity you cant reserve one by phoning the hotel on the way?? but we were lucky.
I would stay with my family here again, its 15 mins on the tube into the center of london, which is nothing, buy the family all day saver £17 for the 3 of us, giving unlimited tube and bus journeys. We used it a lot. Oh and a beutiful pint of Boddingtons!! pity the bar closed at 11pm, but be wise and buy a supply....4 pints to relax to at 10-45 lol.
Thankyou for our stay, and making us feel welcome Earls Court!!

As a Brit I was unimpressed with the 'cooked' breakfast. Microwaved scrambled egg and a sausage is not what I expect at the room rate that I paid.

Every thing was great extremely helpful staff especially the male South African receptionist. Rooms very clean, check in easy
however the beds were both very uncomfortable. I would though stay again despite the beds.

Considering the hotel location rates are no more than fair, while staff and service are good. Rooms (New wing) lack capacity for more than 2 days stay.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend recently and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and the shower room is very nice and space which was a bonus! I would say that the only thing which could be improved upon is having to queue up at the breakfast counter. The staff were helpful and pleasant manner.

A warm welcome and smiling faces at reception greeted me on a foul evening. Missed the fact that I am Priority Platinum but never mind!
The room was clean and fresh and the air conditioning was controllable by me - hallelujah!!!!
A very popular and busy hotel the ground floor was very busy as guests enjoy free wifi there. I was lucky enough to have free internet in my room (once I mentioned I was Platinum) or at least I would have had if the codes I was given worked. After 4 attempts at different codes I got one to work . . . until I went to sleeep. When I woke the following morning could I get it to work - nope!
A minor irritant in an otherwise enjoyable stay and a hotel I shall revisit just as I did this time.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SimonD Why can't we have a teabag?
We are both Gold Priority Club Members so we use ICHotels a lot - this was a reasonably good hotel. Room was very quiet (which is a plus for London) and comfortable and the breakfast adequate. We stayed for 3 nights but were infuriated on the last evening by being refused a 'fuit' teabag (which are available at breakfast) when we asked for one at the reception/bar! Aparently 'fruit' teabags are the domain of 'housekeeping' so the petty individual on reception/bar said that he could not give us one to take to our room (despite there being a bowl of fruit teabags available on a shelf in the bar!).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gill635 Lovely Hotel
We stayed for 2 nights from 13th November.
We were given a room in the new building, which was absolutely beautiful. No bath, but a HUGE shower.
Room was really clean and spacious - the only complaint we had was that the beds were far too hard, however, we asked for extra duvets at reception to pad them up and they were delivered within 10 minutes.
Staff were wonderful! They could not do enough to help, from printing maps out, to providing any directions, hints, tips etc.
Breakfast was basic, but good. Pastries, Cereal, Fruit, Various Tea's & Coffees, Orange / Apple Juice, Toast, Scrambled Egg, Sausage, Beans. Basic, but most other hotels within this price range were not offering anything.
My Mum has Coeliacs, and the staff were more than accommodating with this. They took her own sausages off to cook for her, with no trouble whatsoever.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Idaho2012 What a Week!
Having never traveled to London and booking everything online...I could not have been more thrilled to find this property. It was in a great area with lots of pubs, easy access to the tube to Heathrow or into downtown. We felt comfortable walking to and from, no matter the time. The front desk could not have been more helpful and gave us great directions and suggestions. The rooms are small, but very clean, quiet and lots of hot water and the breakfast was outstanding. WiFi was free in the lobby, but would have liked to have it in the rooms as well. If we ever travel back to London, we are staying here! Thanks HIE for a great week in London! Cheers!

the location is not a walking distance from the central London attractions but less than 10 minutes walk to the tube is quit good.
The room size is typical to big cities in europe, so we came with the right expectations.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by lizb3 OK hotel for weekend in London
Had quad room. The sofa bed was awful to sleep on, very uncomfortable. Had to order extra duvets to try and get some padding!! Breakfast OK, buffet style. Renewed hot food quite often. Location is near to 2 tube stations (walkable within 10mins).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Trapp Nice spacious room, great breakfast and very friendly staff
We stayed in the new part of the hotel. Had a great stay and for a London hotel the room was large. The beds were spacious too and with proper duvets and two kinds of pillows (firm and soft).
The only thing missing was Sky Sport on the TV.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JenniB4567 Great location excellent breakfast
We had a great welcome from the receptionist. He gave us relevant information and was very welcoming and approachable.
The room was very clean and comfortable with a choice of the type of pillow. Plenty of space in the room and the bathroom was very clean with toiletries supplied.
The hotel is within a short walking distance of West Kensington or West Brompton station but you could easily walk to Earls Court station.
There are a few pubs, bars and cafe's in the area to suit all budgets and meal preferences. Such an easy walk to South Kensington, Kensington High Street and en route to West Brompton station for plenty of places to eat and drink.
We arrived a hour early but the room was ready for us to check in.
We would like to have seen more comfy seating in the reception area but it was adequate and pleasant with a bar if you wished to use it.
We were very impressed with the breakfast, can eat as much as you like both continental and full english, plenty of choice and fresh rolls and croissants.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to come to London as only short walk to tube and in central London within a short period of time. Can walk to the museums from the hotel which takes about 40 minutes.
We would definately come again when visiting London.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by KTBEE Clean, comfortable & good reception/breakfast areas
It doesn't look too impressive from outside but this hotel provided us with a very good and comfortable stay. Our room was modern (newly furbished), quiet, clean and comfortable. Reception staff were welcoming and there are good reception/communal areas with dispensing machines and a bar, where you can sit and work, access wi-fi or just relax. Transport from here to the centre, and to the Albert Hall (the reason for our stay) was easy enough - we took the bus. Breakfast was busy - but perfectly adequate and there is a great ittle veggie restaurant opposite the hotel (again, perfect for us). We will definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I were very pleased about the attention we received from all the staff, including evening and daytime staff. They answered our enquiries , were attentive and knowledgeable about the local area. Our room was very satisfactory, quiet, comfortable beds with choice of pillows, excellent bathroom facilities and a great buffet breakfast to start the day. I have recommended this hotel to my friends.

We stopped in this hotel for one night whilst visiting London it is just 5 minutes from the over ground/underground. It was a lovely clean and comfortable family room with everything we needed. Would have been nice to have a bit more choice for breakfast as the hotel in woking we stayed in the next night also holiday inn had a much better choice.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OKK1 London for business and leisure.
The hotel is very well mantained, with every place looking brand new.
The staff is extremely friendly, answering your questions completely, always with a smile. Special note for Agnes at the reception, who was above the already excellent team from the hotel.
Breakfast is good, always fresh, staff keeping up with the demand. The only remark is more options of bread could be offered.
It is not a hotel fault but the nearest tube stations were a bit of a walk, not a problem for me. Anyway thewre are buses in front of the hotel that can take you to the station if you mind a 10 to 15 minutes walk (depending on your speed). The "tube" takes about 30 minutes to central London.

We arrived for a three night stay at this Holiday inn at 1350hrs to be told we were to early and could we go away and return at 1400hrs which is the check-in time they state, this was our first meeting with the hotel reception staff and it was not what I would call a welcoming reception.Over the three days I spoke to five different hotel staff and I would not class any of them as helpful or knowledgeable about the questions that I ask.
When we got to our room it was not in a very clean condition with hairs in the shower and sink plus dried toothpaste on the mirrors, the sheets were stained and the tea supply was very poor with only two teabags and two milks per room per day.
In the morning of our first day the cleaning lady came into the room at 0830hrs to start the cleaning before we had got out of bed.
For three days the bread put out for the toast was frozen when I ask for fresh bread I was told to take it from the back as it was out the longest and it should be defrosted, overall the breakfast was poor and was never really hot.
When we left we were charged for the car-parking for our stay but when I booked and ask if they had a car -park I was not told I would be charged for parking my car.

You could use Tube ticket for local bus # 28 (or 395??) will drop you off at front door of hotel. Very nice staff and friendly. Room meet US standard. Wifi is little slow, paid internet is faster. Would stay again
