Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by fair deal the location is not a walking distance from the central London attractions but less than 10 minutes walk to the tube is quit good. The room size is typical to big cities in europe, so we came with the right expectations. November 6, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK hotel for weekend in London Had quad room. The sofa bed was awful to sleep on, very uncomfortable. Had to order extra duvets to try and get some padding!! Breakfast OK, buffet style. Renewed hot food quite often. Location is near to 2 tube stations (walkable within 10mins). November 5, 2012

The beds were spacious too and with proper duvets and two kinds of pillows (firm and soft). The only thing missing was Sky Sport on the TV. November 3, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location excellent breakfast We had a great welcome from the receptionist. He gave us relevant information and was very welcoming and approachable. The room was very clean and comfortable with a choice of the type of pillow. Plenty of space in the room and the bathroom was very clean with toiletries supplied. The hotel is within a short walking distance of West Kensington or West Brompton station but you could easily walk to Earls Court station. There are a few pubs, bars and cafe's in the area to suit all budgets and meal preferences. Such an easy walk to South Kensington, Kensington High Street and en route to West Brompton station for plenty of places to eat and drink. We arrived a hour early but the room was ready for us to check in. We would like to have seen more comfy seating in the reception area but it was adequate and pleasant with a bar if you wished to use it. We were very impressed with the breakfast, can eat as much as you like both continental and full english, plenty of choice and fresh rolls and croissants. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to come to London as only short walk to tube and in central London within a short period of time. Can walk to the museums from the hotel which takes about 40 minutes. We would definately come again when visiting London. October 26, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable & good reception/breakfast areas It doesn't look too impressive from outside but this hotel provided us with a very good and comfortable stay. Our room was modern (newly furbished), quiet, clean and comfortable. Reception staff were welcoming and there are good reception/communal areas with dispensing machines and a bar, where you can sit and work, access wi-fi or just relax. Transport from here to the centre, and to the Albert Hall (the reason for our stay) was easy enough - we took the bus. Breakfast was busy - but perfectly adequate and there is a great ittle veggie restaurant opposite the hotel (again, perfect for us). We will definitely stay here again. October 22, 2012

They answered our enquiries , were attentive and knowledgeable about the local area. Our room was very satisfactory, quiet, comfortable beds with choice of pillows, excellent bathroom facilities and a great buffet breakfast to start the day. It was a lovely clean and comfortable family room with everything we needed. Would have been nice to have a bit more choice for breakfast as the hotel in woking we stayed in the next night also holiday inn had a much better choice. October 19, 2012

The staff is extremely friendly, answering your questions completely, always with a smile. Special note for Agnes at the reception, who was above the already excellent team from the hotel. Breakfast is good, always fresh, staff keeping up with the demand. The only remark is more options of bread could be offered. It is not a hotel fault but the nearest tube stations were a bit of a walk, not a problem for me. Anyway thewre are buses in front of the hotel that can take you to the station if you mind a 10 to 15 minutes walk (depending on your speed). The "tube" takes about 30 minutes to central London. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed We arrived for a three night stay at this Holiday inn at 1350hrs to be told we were to early and could we go away and return at 1400hrs which is the check-in time they state, this was our first meeting with the hotel reception staff and it was not what I would call a welcoming reception.Over the three days I spoke to five different hotel staff and I would not class any of them as helpful or knowledgeable about the questions that I ask. When we got to our room it was not in a very clean condition with hairs in the shower and sink plus dried toothpaste on the mirrors, the sheets were stained and the tea supply was very poor with only two teabags and two milks per room per day. In the morning of our first day the cleaning lady came into the room at 0830hrs to start the cleaning before we had got out of bed. For three days the bread put out for the toast was frozen when I ask for fresh bread I was told to take it from the back as it was out the longest and it should be defrosted, overall the breakfast was poor and was never really hot. When we left we were charged for the car-parking for our stay but when I booked and ask if they had a car -park I was not told I would be charged for parking my car. October 16, 2012

We arrived early, they offered breakfast for us (no charge), they have storage room for our bags, gave us a map with direction to the tube (metro). You could use Tube ticket for local bus # 28 (or 395??) will drop you off at front door of hotel. Very nice staff and friendly. Room meet US standard. Wifi is little slow, paid internet is faster. Would stay again October 2, 2012

There was one exception though, the breakfast! It was the exact same thing every single day! At other locations (both in the US and in China) there is normally some variety. September 22, 2012

Family of four, very comfortable room and nice and clean, especially the bathroom, which I am very particular about. We all slept very well in the comfy beds. Breakfast was fine too although had to queue but perfectly adequate for our needs. Staff very courteous, my 12 year old daughter even left a little note for the maid on her pillow complimenting on the nice clean room! The only thing we didn't enjoy was the walk to the station, a slightly disconcerting neighbourhood. September 3, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Value for Money I cannot recommend this Holiday Inn Express highly enough. In terms of value for money, it was unbeatable... in fact, I was quite worried that there had been a mistake. I think this hotel is cheaper than others because it is a little bit off the beaten track. However, it is a mere five minute walk to West Kensington tube station- although, to be fair, one or two changes are required to get into the main areas of London by tube (allow 25 minutes). Some comments on here mentioned small rooms. Well, I was extremely happy with the size and quality of mine. There is a new section to the hotel (separate building) which I think has only just opened this Summer (you can still smell the newness of the carpets). It is on three floors, and the rooms are air-conditioned and spacious. My goodness- what a shower- I have never been in such a large shower area! The room was well equipped (flat-screen tv, director's chair, etc.# and the beds were very comfortable indeed. My room was very quiet indeed. I could hear no noise from outside or from other guests. The free breakfast was marvellous- great choice, and there were some hot items #sausages and scrambled eggs). Free Wi-Fi in the lounge area was a real plus. Staff were extremely friendly, and my room was impeccable after the cleaner had been in each day. There isn't really much in the way of hot food served at the moment. You can order "snack boxes" which I think are microwaved, but I did not fancy those. I was offered a free guide for local restaurants when I checked-in. Earl's Court is very close by and there are plenty of nice places to eat around there. So, pretty faultless all in all. I'm very impressed with this hotel and the brand, and will certainly make Holiday Inn Express my first choice for future holidays and business meetings. Thank you! August 28, 2012

Rooms are very small but it's London so expected My one main complaint was there was no fitness room. A chain like this needs at least a basic fitness area. Also the breakfast could have used some additional fresh fruit. Otherwise the staff was great and the hotel worked for what we needed. Was a good price compared to many chains. July 21, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for London The rooms are clean and the hotel is located in a safe area close to the metro. Compared to North American hotels the rooms at Holiday Inn Earls Court are small. There is free wifi in the lobby which is nice. The staff were friendly and helpful but not very knowledgeable when I asked about going to the Olympic Park. For London, I would say HI Express Earls Court is probably a very good value but if you're North American don't expect a large size room, variety at breakfast or free wifi in your room. One thing that was disappointing was that the soap/shampoo dispenser was not refilled so when I went to take a shower on my last night there I didn't have enough shampoo to wash my hair! Not good! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay I love this hotel. It is only a 5 minute walk to the underground for getting around London. We had a nice clean room with bed and sofa bed on the top floor. The breakfast has plenty of choice and the dining room is in a nice bright conservatory. Best of all the staff on reception could not be more friendly and helpful! July 10, 2012
