Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As good as it gets in London I've stayed in a variety of hotels in London and this is one of the best. It exudes an air of luxury and I felt as though I was checking into the Ritz, not 'just' a Holiday Inn Express. The staff were attentive and friendly and efficient, the room was a good size and the free wifi worked perfectly. I would have liked a bath but understand that many modern hotels are shower only these days. For almost the first time in my wanderings around London hotels, there was soya milk on offer at breakfast, which was much appreciated. The O2 centre is right opposite with a range of shops and restaurants as well as others along the road from there to Finchley Road tube station. I could only wish that this hotel was cheaper; I would stay here more often, but have to limit my stays due to budget considerations. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. January 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfy, great staff and close to shops and tubes Never stayed at this one before, great rooms (very clean) and close to shops and restaurants and opposite a tube station. Buses too. Short walk to Hampstead high street which is also nice. The only thing is breakfast is over by 11am which for a weekend is just a tad too early. Noon would be ideal. Would stay again as the beds were so comfy - pillows a tad too hard but did not retract at all from the comfort. January 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent location stayed for two nights with my wife and grandson. Even with an extra double bed there was plenty of space in the room. Excellent breakfast room and the buffet bar was well stocked and continually being cleaned. In fact best breakfast experience I had had in any HIE. The hotel is located a short walk from finchley road tube station . There is a shopping centre opposite with restaurants. wetherspoons on top floor is good for a drink. Buses pass outside with good connections to Victoria. The staff happy to store cases for collection later. Very friendly staff Hotel and fittings look new but apparently hotel is 6 years old. a premier holiday inn express January 12, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Good value but can be noisy.. Overall a good hotel at the price (which includes breakfast). Only negative comment is more of a warning. If you book this hotel specify a room at back of if possible. Rooms facing Finchley Road are noisy despite the double glazing (Finchley Road is a main North/South commuter route and is busy at ALL times of the day). Other than that one negative issue I'd have given it 4 stars. January 12, 2014

Don't hesitate in booking here, we honestly didn't have one issue! - Less than 2 mins walk to Finchley Rd tube, 5 mins and you are in Baker St and they run every 4 minutes. We walked to Regent St one day, took us 50 minutes and was very nice walked down Abbey Rd and called in at Aflies Antiques market for a cup of tea on the way :) - Opposite a cinema complex with cafes, restaurants etc if you need it (we didn't) - Staff are all fantastic, going out of the way to help and were very nice with our two little boys (6 & 4) - Safe, pleasant, leafy area which is quiet at night - Rooms are clean, have all you can need and are modern in decor - AMAZING coffee shop opposite they grind and blend their own beans and make their own Italian pastries You can spend more money and be further outside the centre and in a tatty old hotel, so don't wait, just book this! This hotel is perfectly situated for the tube whilst being away from the busy city centre, also sits across from an ideal centre containing different restaurants. Fantastic service from a hard working team. Room was more than adequate with a more than suitable sofa bed for our two children. Breakfast was a bonus with fresh food and plenty of it. Particularly appreciated the facility to store our luggage post check-out which enabled us to continue our sight seeing on the last day. Many thanks for a fantastic break! January 4, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very helpful reception team I made a mistake on my booking for a night stay of a double room when i should have booked a family room. The front office staff Ms. Mariaa was a great help and manage to assist in changing my reservation to a family room and reserve a parking for me. Do note there is only space for just about 4-6 car parking. Breakfast was a good spread and hotel is close to underground station that get's you into Piccadilly in below 30mins. Only minor drawbacks were the slightly cramped room and the fairly basic breakfast. Nevertheless, would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent value in a very good location. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great home from home My colleagues and I stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Finchley Road, several nights each week nearly every week and have been adopted as part of the hotel family... the team know our likes and dislikes and always try to attend to the little things that make a big differece; whether that is a favourite room or an iron and ironing board left in the room on arrival... This hotel is great value if you book early, but becomes just as expensive as anywhere else if you leave it too late... so book early and enjoy great value for money, a great team and a great location near the tube and plenty of really good restaurants... While the room was clean & modern the bed was very uncomfortable and both my wife & I had a disturbed sleep due to this. The breakfast was what you would expect from a budget hotel, it fitted a purpose is about the best I could say.,the staff were very slow to clear tables. As budget hotels go it is not bad but better mattresses would be a big improvement. December 6, 2013

Our room was immaculately presented, but it faced the Finchley Road and so there was traffic noise all night. Also, some late night revellers woke us up at 4am in the room next door. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service, massive bed! Checked in early (11.30 am) as the London Roads were strangely quiet. Good helpful staff - booked a car parking spot in the tiny car park. Arrived back to get my room but there were no spaces left in the car park - however I was offered a very narrow garage but that was fine. Room as usual was spotless and the bed was massive! Good free breakfast and fast checkout. No problems at all but take care reversing out of the narrow garage, I was fine, luckily. Well done December 4, 2013

Just a couple of comments, if you get a room overlooking the main road the traffic can be heard, also the car park is tiny but I suppose by London standards cheap at £20 a day, beware you can get blocked in here. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel at convenient location The Holiday Inn Express offers just what a traveller needs: a clean room with private facilities, breakfast, quick service at check-in and check-out, located near a subway station and an urban train station and on a road where bus lines pass to the city center and opposite the road is a shopping center with several restaurants (there are more down the road). The room has a comfortable bed, a desk, coffee/tea making in the room and tv. As a IHG club member you get a free newspaper. November 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel It was our second stay in this hotel and even in the same room. All members of staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel wasn´t fully occupied so during night there was absolute silence, except for the noise from the busy street but it is not a fault of the hotel itself. Room was again clean and nice, one and only deficiency is terribly uncomfortable sofa-bed (we were three in the room). Standard double bed is fine. Breakfast was better than during our first visit, probably thanks to the fact that hotel wasn´t full and staff had more time for preparing breakfast and baking of croissants (they were underdone last time). Generally I can say that this hotel is very good and we will return again in the future. November 22, 2013
