Room was a good size with beds and pillows of a reasonable standard. Free wi-fi, breakfast and complimentary newspaper were appreciated. The dining area was a bit crowded at breakfast, but that was a minor niggle. Staff were very pleasant. Will stay again August 27, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Stay Holiday Hotel looks great from the photos and so are the reviews. When we arrived in London, I realized it took us an hour to reach this place from Heathrow airport. The price i paid for inclusive of internet and breakfast was great though compared to the current price when we checked in. Breakfast is good except that for the 3 days we were there, there wasn't really any variation. My only complain was the hot shower. I usually take my showers early like in between 5 and 6 am to ensure water is still hot and not saturated but this is the first time I stayed at a hotel and the water turns from hot to cold then to hot again continuously like every 3 minutes. I thought at first, it might just be for the first day. But it happened on the 2nd and the 3rd and i just assumed maybe that's how it is. Overall the service was good and the staff were friendly. I just have a hard time understanding their accent every now and then. I will probably book in Holiday Inn again but somewhere closer to the city center. August 20, 2014

Although the hotel facilities are pretty basic, it is always clean and comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and they make the stays away from home that bit more enjoyable. The hotel houses a good mix of business users and holidaymakers and is a good location for North London and even getting into the City which is only around 30 minutes direct on the Northern Line, with the station about 10 minutes walk away. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by experience we have stayed in a few holiday inns and we enjoyed this one. the staff are professional and helpful the hotel was clean and comfortable.it was ideal for the underground station only a 15min walk. the only faults we found were the problem with the door card for the guest room and the television poor size and channel choices.could also do with two separate beds for the children. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy and uncomfortable, little choice at breakfast Beds and pillows were hard and lumpy. Only a few TV channels (even though Freeview is available in the UK). Cooked breakfast only a choice of eggs, beans or bacon. Noisy all night from busy junction - constant emergency vehicles sirens, motor bikes, etc. Even moved to back of the hotel and it was still bad. Would not recommend. August 9, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing second visit Stayed at Golders Green Holiday Inn Express previously, and all went well with my stay, comfortable room, nice breakfast, decent internet. This time, however, things were different. My bed was unbelievably uncomfortable, and creaked every time I turned over in bed. The pillows were so hard I abandoned them and used a towel and our room was so sparsely furnished, that i couldn't even sleep on the armchair! We had a desk and chair, and a TV which had seen better days, with a rather iffy picture on some of its limited channels, It meant well, I think as wished me a happy birthday when we switched it on. (alas my birthday is in March!!) and an enormous space where presumably the armchair and table/sofa should have been. To rub salt into the wound, we were there on a Sunday - no dinner, and the wifi was down - so no contact with home, and couldn't do my work emails.... August 7, 2014

The team at breakfast were particularly friendly. This was the second time I have stayed in a month and although I had a minor problem with the sound on the TV on the first visit the overall stay was good so I made another reservation this time for three nights with my wife. We booked in and went to our room and we found that the problem I had reported three weeks before with the sound on the TV was still apparent it was impossible to use BBC 2 as the sound was so distorted . They agreed to move us to a different room the following morning. We moved rooms and found that the problem was just the same with the TV in every room and the maintenance man told me they had a problem with the system and could not resolve it. On the Saturday afternoon we had a lot of problems with noise as a group of teenagers were on our floor running up and down banging and kicking doors which we thought may pose a problem later that evening so reported it to reception and they agreed to speak to them. We returned later that night went to bed and then and the noise started outside in the corridor and this went on and on. We spoke to reception and they sent staff up but the noise continued until 2.00 AM . We spoke to the reception when we checked out and they were most apologetic told us it was a group visit and they would cancel all future booking with them. As I have said the staff were polite and tried to control the situation but this is not what you expect at a Holiday Inn. July 25, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room with kosher breakfast included The location for us was good as we needed to be in Golders Green and also convenient for public transport. We require kosher food so the kosher breakfast option was most welcome. Could have used a bit of variety, but it filled our needs. Staff were helpful. The only downside was not enough storage space for clothes--we had come on from a long vacation and were there for a wedding so didn't want to leave them in a suitcase. It would also be helpful to have a second chair in the room. July 21, 2014
