Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious hotel A clean double bedroom, open wardrobe space with enough hangers. Bathroom/toilet door is shared, which i felt is not ideal in relation to controling toilet smells. Poor choice of free television channels. Check-in staff friendly, however demanded a credit card for security, but i prefer to pay cash and that option was only accepted after some debate. Car Park with plenty of available spaces, but fee should be made cheaper than £5.00. Good buffett style breakfast, but beans were abit sticky. Electrical sockets requiried near breakfast areas, as i had to sit away to charge my mobile. October 18, 2014

Se hecha en falta una mininevera para guardar botellas de agua y algun que otro cajón/ armario con puertas para tener orden dentro de la habitación. El desayuno era suficente pero no es variado. La ubicacion es mala, unos 45 min del centro en metro, que ademas pasa cada cierto tiempo. Tiene Wifi en todo el hotel de forma gratuita, cosa que me sorprendio gratamente. La Tv era regular, con solo canales ingleses, creo qque es el primer hotel que no tiene TVE internacional. Conclusion: para ser Londres (extremademente caro y con hoteles que dejan mucho que desear) esaceptab le pero esta muy lejos del centro. September 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Problem Internet Service The internet at the hotel was fast; however, the connection kept dropping and forcing us to go through the login process again. Also, only 2 devices were allowed, which is not a problem, except switching from one device to another was impossible. For example, if we start out using a tablet and a phone on the internet, we could not disconnect one device in favour of a computer later on. September 9, 2014

Rooms not prepared properly and query not dealt with promptly. breakfast was poor. On the plus side, hotel was nicely deorated, very easy access to tube and parking was very reasonable. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location The hotel is only a short walk to Newbury Park Underground Station, which makes it a good base for sightseeing in London. Although the hotel is located adjacent to the busy A12 road with the window closed the traffic noise is minimal, but in hot weather this could cause problems as the air conditioning is not very efficient. The rooms are a reasonable size, even with the bed settee pulled out. However, there no allowance was made for there being three occupants in the room for towels or tea/coffee cups. The staff were both friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn Express offering, the scrambled eggs were tasteless, the staff struggled to keep the hot buffet items fully stocked and the coffee was not the whole bean offering expected today. Finally, the free wi-fi in the room was slow. August 25, 2014

On the second morning after the wedding celebrations finished whilst I was having breakfast with my young children, my son asked for some fruit which I promptly got up to get for him from the breakfast serving area HOWEVER I couldn't believe that I was stopped entering the area by a member of your staff who informed me that breakfast is now closed. I checked my watch and it was 10.30 which I know is when breakfast is stopped being served however I can't believe I couldn't get some fruit especially as I was already seated . I suggest you offer some leeway especially during the weekend and offer a grace period of a few minutes so that your customers can enjoy their holiday break and not be rushed. August 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by So disappointed this time We booked 2 rooms for 4 nights for a family break. One of the rooms was fine. The second room certainly wasn't. Hairs in the main bed, a wet stain on the floor outside the bathroom, a leak by the toilet. And the main plug socket by the desk, only 1 would take a plug. 3 people sharing 2 plugs.... not easy to charge 3 phones used for photo's with only 2 plug sockets. We reported this on the 1st morning, the stain had been dried and the leak no more....but everything else - no change (obviously we removed the hairs, but linen wasn't changed. Our daughter left her pocket money out on our first full day out, only to find it had been taken on our return. I assume the cleaning thought we were tipping each day. We spoke to the front desk who said they would have an answer by the next night (our 3rd night#. There was no answer until the 4th night #the money was returned)....although our bin wasn't emptied the 3rd day. Maybe the cleaner felt with a lack of tip, there'd be a lack of cleaning. Was a bit disappointed that there has been a change with regards to Bacon every other day. The hotel was busy, as you'd hope from a great location, but to run out of Pain au chocolat, clean mugs, and croissants, all on different days, maybe the hotel doesn't expect to be busy, or for people to stay more than 1 night. We will stay here again, but more so for the cost and the location. August 11, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by good stay until missing item cant not be found.... Overal this hotel isnt bad. A fair selection of breakfast and ok staff. There is some noise from main road and mid morning deliveries to petrol garage next door which woke me. But still an ok stay. My error but I left behind a sentimental item which i take on my travels..it has no worth or value to anyone and it was a case of my partner and i thought the other one had picked it up off the bed and packed it. When we rang the hotel later that day house keeping had gone and someone was to return my call. Once calling again i was told house keeping found no item. Well that is impossible unless it grew legs and walked out? I said i would offer a reward amd pay costs to send it back but was informed they would contact me if they found it. Womt be seeing that again I :( July 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable hotel with great access to tube Clean comfortable hotel with nice food and easy parking.Great access to tube so ideal place for a base if working in the city or like me,using it as a base for excel exhibition.Check in a bit confusing as they had got room bookings mixed up with a colleague and it took a while to sort out...however we got there in the end......just wish they had more coffee and tea provided in the rooms rather than the obligatory two sachets!!.... Rooms clean and comfortable and great views of the panorama from the lobbies on exiting the lifts on the higher floors....special mention for Mohammed on reception desk...he is fantastic and as polite and professional a gent you could wish to meet....had some billing errors and they were sorted in a friendly and efficient manner...totally 100% dedicated professional guy who is a total credit to the holiday inn business...he should be recognised as such...well done Mo...you are a legend!..... Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great oasis for rest in hectic London Arrived a day early, but staff eventually found me a room in the hotel that supposedly was booked solid. Reality was that I found the room at Hotels.com and showed the front staff that I had just booked the room with them. Their reaction was "Oh, we must have had a cancellation, yes, here it is." Beyond that, this hotel is a great place to stay at a very reasonable cost when you consider that London is among the most expensive places in the world and I was there at the busiest time of year. Their breakfast selection is excellent, not the usual fare that seems to be surfacing at most Holiday Inn Expresses in the states. The rooms are small but very comfortable as are the beds. The hotel is only a short 5 minutes from the Newbury Park tube station with a nice walk past a very pretty park that is kept immaculate. Definitely WILL stay at this hotel again! June 15, 2014

We were on 4th floor on the side and the room was very nice and fairly quiet. Would recommend the hotel and would stay again. May 28, 2014
