Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by London experience We did enjoy our stay. Had a room on the front corner. Corner units have two sets of large windows that are great for a view, but they need to have a better grade of windows in them. Every noise outside sounded as if your windows were open!! Also, inadequate towel bars in the washroom so if two people shower on a given day there was no place to dry both towels. Defeats their purpose of trying to cut back on excessive laundry!! The hotel and rooms are spotless and the complimentary breakfast provides a good variety. The hotel staff were excellent; welcoming, pleasant, attentive, went out of their way to answer any query and helped make our short stay very enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AM LOOKING FORWARD TO RETURNING My friend and I stayed here for two nights for a couple of social days in London. Neither of us had stayed here before but we both thoroughly enjoyed our experience and are already planning another couple of nights soon. The hotel was convenient for us as it was a short walk from Hammersmith bus station and therefore is a great location for the tube to get into Central London. Upon arrival we found the staff to be friendly and helpful with our check-in and keeping our luggage secure until our room was ready (we arrived before the check-in time). This helpfulness and courtesy continued throughout our stay with staff making the effort to greet whenever we left/returned to the hotel - we certainly did not feel like just a guest number staying. They were also kind enough to give advice if we required it and printed a couple of vouchers from our internet use so we could get more out of our London experience. Both the exterior and interior of the hotel - including our room - was welcoming, clean and comfortable. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone based on our experience and will definitely return here next time. September 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by prope, but some were improperly conducted room, shower and toilet are not luxury, but properly functioned. The receptionist should ask currency which a customrt want to pay. I was not asked, then charged in home currency. It costs me lot more that in local currency. It should not be automatic. September 4, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Recommended choice Smart and casual hotel well positioned within few minute walk from Hammersmith tube and bus station make it a good choice from a London break. Staff is friendly, rooms are not so small being in London with a big bathroom (being in London). Overall very clean. Breakfast included, enough to start with energy a new day in this amazing city. There’s no restaurant inside but the pub just next door has a good choice of food with an unbeatable value for money and, that’s important, welcomes families with children. The staff was friendly and helpful, room was immaculate, breakfast varied, well-prepared, plentiful, with excellent staff. Our room faced the front, where there is a pub just down the street, and the front was a bit noisy (laughter, conversation) from about 11 - 11:30 PM; then it quieted down again. Earplugs took care of it with no problem at all. We like to sleep with the window open...the sound may not be an issue at all if you sleep with the window closed. I would suggest to improve the variety of breakfast choices . Our room space for three guests has been just acceptable. Close to Hammersmith Underground Station (8 minutes on foot). Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, very helpful We stayed at the Hammersmith Holiday Inn Express for 3 nights whilst attending a family wedding in the area. The hotel was very clean with great staff who were attentive, friendly and very courteous. The only slight negative was the small breakfast buffet - continental breakfast or sausage/beans/scrambled eggs... We had a nice room on the 4th floor which was quiet enough considering the proximity to the Tube and the main street. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Friendly and helpful staff We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and immaculate. The breakfast service layout we thought could be arranged in a more efficient way so that people were not bumping into each other. Also the food ran out on Friday - e.g there were no croissants, the yoghurt and fruit dishes were empty and there were no plates and trays. The kitchen staff appeared to be under pressure (shortstaffed, perhaps.) The previous day, Thursday, everything was excellent. One other small point - my nightdress went missing! I reported it and the housekeeper checked the room but could not find it so I suspect it must have been inadvertently put out with the towels or sheets! However, it was not a great disaster and I certainly would not make an issue of it. August 14, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by An unpleasant surprise On arrival at the hotel we were initially very pleased with the reception and with our room. On the second night however,on returning to our room we found a mouse running out from under the bed and then out under the door and presumably then into another room. When we moved the beds to see if there were more rodents, we were horrified to find a mousetrap under each bed, which obviously indicated that we had been put into a room with an ongoing pest problem.Why had this room not been put out of service until this problem was irradicated? We do not consider it acceptable to be put into a room with such a problem. Our concerns were handled very well by the duty manager who was very apologetic and gave us a new room on a different floor (plus a bottle of wine), but he also promised that we would be contacted by his manager on our return home. Unfortunately there has been no such communication,which is very disappointing. July 29, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room but breakfast inadequate and most staff not friendly. The room was compact but clean. Our air conditioning was not working and we requested it to be fixed. The receptionist ensured that it would be fixed, unfortunately it wasn't and after a sleepless night we were moved to a different room for which we received no help in transferring our belongings . The breakfast was adequate for the price of our stay; however, the staff were extremely unpleasant and made us all feel very uncomfortable. We were told that breakfast was served up until 9:30am at 9:25am staff came around to say that the breakfast area was closing and at 9:30 precisely they turned off all the drinks machines, toasters and cleared all food from display. Some costumers went up to try and get coffee and toast but they were ignored by staff in their unsuccessful attempt to get fed. This hotel has great potential and some of the staff were very approachable, however too many including the duty manager were unhelpful, rude and never even tried to smile at anyone. July 25, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for price except for lack of working air conditioner Our family was on holiday in London for 8 days. We booked our room at the Holiday Inn - Hammersmith after we had already been in London for 4 days. Although a little further away from the main sites to see, the value for the price was very good. Our only problem was that our room did not have a working air conditioner. When we arrived in the room, the air conditioner was on and blowing HOT air. The temperature in the room was over 90 degrees (Farenheit). It did happen to be one of the hottest days of the year in London, but one should expect to have a working air conditioner that could at least bring the temperature down to 75 degrees (Farenheit). The staff could not disagree that our room felt like an oven and, since it was a weekend, they did not have maintenance staff available to fix the air conditioner. The staff did everything they could to help make our room more comfortable, including unlocking the windows so we could open them all the way (there were child safety locks on the windows). The staff even searched the entire hotel to locate a fan for us, which they found in the laundry room and brought right to us. The air conditioning seemed to work very well elsewhere in the hotel, especially in the lobby and lounge. The service in the restaurant and bar connected to the hotel was excellent. The food and drinks were excellent as well and there was a great variety which helped when traveling with children. Despite the air conditioning problem, which seemed to be a very unusual event, I strongly recommend this hotel since the value for the price is very high. July 20, 2013

The location is just 5 minutes walk from Tube and plenty of grocery stores and restaurants on the way . We reached hotel at 8AM and even though the checkin time was 2 PM , they were able to give us room after 8:30 . The hotel can also store luggage which came in handy because we went to Paris for few days and left most of big luggage at hotel. The beds were very comfortable , however the room size was bit small . The breakfast was adequate but can get boring after few days . Overall , we had a nice experience and wouldn't hesitate to come back again to this hotel. July 17, 2013

One great advantage is the very nice location unlike the other Holiday Inn hotels. My daughter's first holiday inn experience and I think she enjoyed the breakfast too much.
