Its a clean and neat place, ideal for short stay. The location is good to reach several points in London and also close to office. I Will come back again soon. May 27, 2013

I have stayed at both Crowne Plaza's and this Holiday Inn express in London. The approach and level of service attempted by the Holiday Inn express is beyond experiences I have had at both Intercontinental and Crown Plaza. Whilst the hotel quality is that of the segment. The service level and effort of staff and management is beyond the level expected at such a hotel. Well done to the team. I will stay again rather than go to Crowne Plaza :) May 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great room for the price I was a little concerned about staying on the East end of London and not in Central London, but then I read that the East end was becoming more popular as it expanded and decided to try it and I'm glad I did. I was very pleased with the hotel. The price was good, the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Well located around the block from the DLR which brings you to the tube and is in zone 2 so you don't pay extra for the DLR. It was 2 stops to the tower bridge tube stop. I was with my 2 children and not all hotels have accomodations for 3 people in a room, so we were limited, but it worked out great. The bed was comfortable, and they had a nice size pull out bed that my daughter slept on. It was crowded to pass the end of her bed when it was open, but we didn't spend much time in the room, and we could have closed the bed back into a loveseat if we wanted. We took cabs at night to get back the hotel, they ranged from 7 to 22 pounds depending on where we were, which was fine since I saved a great deal not staying in central London. April 30, 2013

The hotel also had a bar which my roomies and I enjoyed, along with a complimentary breakfast. The sheets were clean, but a few old stains were seen, and a single hair on top of the sheet which wasn't awesome, but whatever. April 29, 2013

Stayed at Holiday Inn Express a number of times and I do wish they would improve the breakfast quality. I would be happy to pay a bit more for some decent and tasty bacon and sausage. OK for the vegies toast and yoghurts. Our room was on the top floor and we were clearly just beneath what was probably a heating or air conditioning unit which 'hummed' all night and didn't exactly help us have a quiet nights sleep. Exterior is not great but it belies an attractive interior, very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent room which was clean and quiet and well equipped, and a first class breakfast in the morning. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great value hotel Lovley hotel, easily accessible to DLR. Clean. Great range of food. Bedroom was good standard. I was surprised though that it said in the bathroom to leave towels on the rack if we didn't want them changing - so we did - and tehy were still changed. We didn't want them changing after only 1 use. What a waste. Why mention about being environmentally friendly and not following it? Also why provide decaf coffee but not decaf tea? I am a tea drinker but prefer decaf but I didn't have the choice. Other than these 2 minor things there was no problem. We had asked for a travel cot and one was provided with more bedding than needed. April 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice stay at this decent hotel Pleasant and friendly staff, nice room, good price and a good breakfast included. We enjoyed our stay very much and our experience was enhanced due to the room being available to us 2 hours earlier than official check in time. We arrived 2 hours earlier than check in time with a view to leaving our car in the car park and looking around london before coming back later on to check in the room. This wasn't necessary as the room was ready for us when we arrived and we were allowed to check in early which was very convenient for us. The price was very reasonable and we booked a family room for 3 adults which included a double bed and fully pulled out and made up sofa bed which was the equivalent size of a double bed. It wasn't the most comfortable of beds but i expected this as sofa beds often are not. It was not a problem as it was adequately comfortable enough. The parking price was well below the average for other hotels in London being charged at £10 per 24 hours whereas many others are £20 + for the same period. Overall very happy with this hotel and our stay here, the limehouse DLR station was a short 5 minute walk from the hotel and easy to find. April 16, 2013

Overall I would stay again however, the breakfast was not up to much, far to many people queuing at one time, although this is understandable for a busy hotel. One thing that I found disappointing was the croissant I had was stale which put a downer on the Morning as they are my favourite. April 6, 2013

Close to DLR.Quiet room off busy street.Bedroom a good size and warm. bed harder than used to,very upright head board and pillows not comfortable. nice settee better for reading or watching TV. No bath small room with shower. Breakfast had variety but could be better with more fresh fruit, bagles, waffles and porridge. Free papers and bar for evening drinks was welcome.Tea and coffee in room but no biscuits. Fresh flowers and music would give it more atmosphere. No recognition of my husband being a platinum priority club member. March 22, 2013

Bonus points go to the hotel for including free wifi for Platinum members. Needing a cheapish hotel in London for one night (students), we found it easily, and cheaply, the hotel being in Zone 2 and a short walk from the DLR. Hotel was clean and the staff were extremely friendly, and the room despite facing the main road was deathly quiet. The included breakfast was fantastic, and saved us more money on the trip. We would definitely try to book at a holiday inn again when we visit London. March 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Straightforward experience Chose this because needed to be in Billingsgate at 0630 for an hour and wanted to be close, and needed hotel with car park. Limehouse is not a typical tourist destination - but the hotel was fine - clean, organised and efficient. Room two (adults and child) was crowded by the third bed - but with late checkin and early departure was not inconvenienced. They hd forgotten to make up the third bed - but were very helpful and apologetic. Returned to hotel for breakfast which was the most disappointing aspect - the breakfast room was so crowded with tables that getting to the buffet was an assault course of chairs and tables. They were cleaning the next table with spray cleaner which drifted onto our table - not pleasant when eating. The food choice was ok - only minor gripes - all the yoghurt was flavoured (no natural) and the queues for the coffee machine and hot food a but of a bind - but perfectly acceptable for the price. Staff very helpful - particularly with my coming and going from the car park. Cement factory next door spoiled the external appearance and clearly generated dust. In summary - if you want very good value and want to be in Limehouse - its a good hotel. February 13, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value and convenient location Being a 5 minute walk from the DLR with connections to the London Tube made this a very convenient location regardless of where you need to get to. The breakfast was typical of a Holiday Inn Express ( I stay at about 50 of them per year both in America and Europe), and while I have had better (the scrambled eggs and sausages at Limehouse were below the quality of most), I had worse. My only other commect about the food is that the 'Americana' coffee in their coffee machine is just coloured water. If you want real coffee - take the expresso. As for dinner, there is an excellent Italian Restaurant #La Figa#within a 5 minuite walk that is reasonably priced and there is a second restaurant # Indian cuisine# a few steps from La Figa. Another minute further down the road is a 'pub' #the Narrows# which is part typical pub and part restaurant #no pub-grub here#, and I found meals a bit pricey. If you want atmosphere and a typical Engllish pub you just have to walk a few more minutes further to 'The Grapes'. This is 500 years old, has pub-grub, and prices are far lower than The Narrows. Recent removal of Sky Sports (rooms & bar) and late 2012 downgrade of broadband service reduces appeal of hotel choice. With recent (Jan/2013) ratePreference restrictions unfortunately this hotel is now too costly for the standard it provides. Unless HI lift their ratePreference restrictions this 4-year 100-night-per-year regular is spending his nights elsewhere. Local competitors offer lower broadband contention, Sky in rooms, similar breakfast but a far better rate. February 4, 2013

Rooms clean, perfect service and a good breakfast. and not to far away from the trainstation Limehouse. Staff was able to help us by finding the traindirections to the O2 Arena. It was easy to travel and only 15 minutes away from the Holiday Inn Express.We certainly will come back again. January 29, 2013

Rooms were clean, as all holiday inn expresses. Will definitely stay here again, only a short trip into London centre. The staff are very friendly and polite and made us feel welcome. All the hotel areas were extremely clean and tidy and inviting. The breakfast was good although I think it you go down to breakfast later on, there is not much left. Will stay there again. January 27, 2013

The public transport is close and takes you right in to any zone required. Restaurants are pretty plentiful around if you search because at first sight they are not evident. January 16, 2013
