Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by jamie1012 Functional accommodation
I would rate my stay in this hotel as satisfactory and functional.
The location is good, very close to tube station which has tube and DLR connections. The room was clean and functional. Lack of a bath was a little disappointing, but guess space is at a premium.
Wifi was far too expensive. In most hotels I stay in it's free or a nominal fee.
Staff were polite but not very "warm". I felt the place lacked atmosphere, where staff were just doing their job. No friendliness.
Breakfast was ok, if a little basic. All self service.
Bar had limited drink selection.
Whilst I might use hotel again, it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

Had a good stay whilst on a girly shopping trip to Westfield.
Good location to shopping centre and great that we were able to leave our luggage in a safe room after checking out.
Only slight negatives were: mattress REALLY REALLY soft I nearly rolled out and cooked buffet breakfast served luke warm.
Wouldn't stop me going back - good value for money and staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent Service and friendly and helpful staff.
Good breakfast and parking but £20 charge a little high with the cost of th room too.
Saying that have used this Hotel now a few times and coming back in November on another business trip.
Would Highly recommend, also a pleasure to still have a top hotel you can smoke in, in your room.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tiggithecat Hope there isn't a real fire
I have no complaint about the quality of the hotel. Lovely modern room, great breakfast and good location. Unfortunately the fire alarm was activated in the middle of the night. Now I know the hotel had no control over this and I am happy that the alarm in my room worked. What I wasn't impressed with however was the lack of visibility of hotel staff. Standing in my night wear on a busy road at 4am was not my idea of a good night out. No one from the hotel spoke to us, told us what was going on or gave a reason for the evacuation. People generally gathered against the wall of the hotel and then had to be moved by the fire crew so they could get into the building. It would have been preferable if a member of the hotel staff had thought to move people across the road and out of the way! Just a general apology for the disturbed night either then or at checkout would have been appreciated!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ducki Excellent Room, Great value for money
I wasn't sure what to expect when booking a room that was pretty cheap in London terms but it was close to the O2 and I was only staying one night so I thought I'd chance it.
I was pleasantly surprised. The room and bathroom were large, clean, nicely decorated and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, ensuring a good night's rest.
The staff were efficient and friendly and the bar was reasonably priced (for London) and had a good atmosphere.
I didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.
It is excellently located for going to the O2 - there are regular tubes and buses run all night. It might be a bit more of a challenge to get to if I were to go out in the city centre but I would definitely consider staying here again if I were to visit London in the future.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Srivignesh Loss due to removal of bills by roomservice
Room service removed my boarding pass, extra baggage receipt spent, taxi bills etc. Gulf air is not ready to give a duplicate bill of extra baggage amount i spent which company can reimburse. Its a loss of ard 250 pounds due to the stay in Holiday Inn. I would not mind if its charged more since i am getting reimbursed from the company.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by UrbanAntony Fantastic staff
I wish to commend all the staff and management at this hotel for their excellent friendly and professional service. It was a rare pleasure.
The only disappointment was the water pressure, so low that taking a shower was nigh on imposssible. It was noisy in the night (I was on the road side) but that was caused by workers removing the Olympic Lane signs from the road all night - not the fault of the Hotel.
I look forward to my next visit and meeting the team there again

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wispa5 Good view and great location
Stayed here for the Paralympics so the location was superb. Hotel clean and comfortable. Great view of the Olympic Stadium from the 6th Floor. Breakfast was very good - lots of variety and all the English Breakfast items were hot. Unfortunately could only get a Smoking Room which wasn't ideal but it was the Saturday night of the last weekend of the Paralympics so the hotel was full and they couldn't swap my room. Only suggestion would be to have the breakfasts earlier on a Sunday when a big event is on as we missed the start of our game!
Would stay here again to visit the East of London.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joanie1966 Good location. Good buffet breakfast choices
We stayed here one night when visiting the Olympic Stadium. The location was great for this and has good transport links into and around London.
The room was great although I agree that the mattresses are too soft and need replacing. There was no noise and we had a good nights sleep.
Breakfast options for the buffet breakfast were good and there was plenty of table space when we were there.
Staff were helpful on reception but bar service was very poor as it was busy due to arrivals for the Olympics.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stokes08 Worst nights sleep
We stayed between Paralympic events. The O2 and then the Olympic Stadium and the location was perfect. The guy on reception was really helpful and pointed out the quickest way for us to get back to the O2 and helped us beat the crowds. Breakfast exceeded our expectations. We have stayed at a few Holiday Inn Express' and this was by far the best breakfast. The big negative point for us was the bed. The room and the bathroom themselves were fine, but the bed was so uncomfortable! It was so soft and sagged badly in the middle. I spent the night holding onto the edge so I didn't roll over. We even went to try the sofabed in case that was better, but that was broken so wasn't even usable.
Please change your mattresses!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Iewers Comfortable and good service from staff
Stayed as attending Paralympics, hotel staff very helpful on directions to alternative entrance as I am disabled. Room excellent and comfortable. Slept well and no noise. Breakfast good choice and staff again helpful by carrying my tray for me. Would stay again if attending Olympic village or Westfield shopping centre..

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by pabjyb Convenient for buses
Not a great night sleep as the beds are rather soft and the quilts and sheet are small but overall a good place to stay with many connection options to all of London. Stratford bus station is 2-4 minutes away by any of several buses that stop just by the Hotel. There are then links by bus, tube, DLR and high speed train to St Pancras or just spend your time walking and shopping at the amazing Westfield Shopping Centre.
Wifi charges far too high, it should be free with the prices charged!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by traveller418 Decent stay but service left a lot to be desired
short weekend stay, when i tried to checkin, didnt get a non smoking room as requested so had to wait till the staff could get me non smoking room, the staff was quite rude and unhelpful to another guest in front of me. felt sorry for him. brought a drink at the bar and it had an insect in it!, the fire alarm was falsely activated at 5 in the morning! the staff had no clue what to do. after half an hour and all the guests getting anxious they finally said its a false alarm, the window didnt shut properly, being a road side location it was quite noisy!, over all would not recommend to any one

I found parking very difficult and object to the charge of Pounds 20 per night to park when there are only 10 spots which are extremely difficult to mavoevre in. When i arrived I told the desk I was considering moving somewhere else when the only spot was in handicapped parking ,which is used all the time when I am not handicapped.

Excellant service and friendly staff. For the few pounds extra I would stay at the Holiday Inn adjacent to the Olympic park which has free wifi and a small gym along with a better selection for breakfast.

I always enjoy my stay here, I use it when I am in London for business.
Rooms are always clean, staff are always friendly and accommodating. The only thing which would make my stay better is if the rooms had fridges.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Richard0902 Clean modern accommodation convenient to underground.
Clean new room and facilities with a 10 minute walk to the Stratford underground station. Helpful staff and a large breakfast (included in the room rate). Huge new shopping centre nearby and sufficient pubs and reataurants about the area. Overall, a good choice for basic, clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation within London.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kirtobserver trip to the shops
excellent choice for this end of london and for shopping at westfield.
The hotel is let down by its proximity to a very large and busy and noisy road which is constant throughout the night - the family didnt really get much sleep at all.
Breakfast is self service and wow so much to choose and all fresh etc - such a delight.
Hotel staff excellent, helpful, and customer centric - couldnt ask for more from them.
Check in and out so easy and hassle free - even though the hotel was full.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hitman checking in
checking in was pretty abysmal - one relatively difficult customer ahead took up one staff member's time - could have been dealt with better - but all the time other check-in desk manned but system not working - great - all this time several members of staff came and went - could see queues forming but didn't pitch in to help - didnt seem to be doing anything else - so we customers just kept waiting - very frustrating. You need to train your staff better - how to deal woith customers and system better - plus how to be flexible so they can check customers in durinbg busy times - and deploy more of them at busy times. There are competitors that do this well.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jinjan No Priority Club recognition whatsoever
Terrible hotel. No mention of Priority Club. No newspaper, late check-out or wake-up call offered. Building work taking place inside and out. Full of loud, drunken men - was terrified in the lift when four of them got in all carrying 4 bottles each - all bought at the bar and being taken back to their room. Receptionist was serving at the bar when we got to reception - had to wait 10-15 while he finished serving the drunken men.
