Very welcoming staff. Straightforward facilities nothing posh but everything new and clean. Everything you could want. Didn't realise the location was rather faceless/businessy but it was only five mins walk to tube/dlr and it was about ten pounds cheaper because of its location (i think). There was no problem with street noise at all and the room temperature was perfect. Dinner was good and just what we needed at 9pm before an early start.. We were able to leave our luggage all day at no cost. Thanks to the staff on reception for making our brief stay an enjoyable one.

Very enjoyable break, there was a problem with the heating which was attended to promptly by a Duty Manager. It was a pity that since our return I have found that despite Reception swiping my Priority Club Card I now understand that this stay was considered unacceptable for the award of points.

The staff and service at this property is excellent. However the bedrooms are very cold in winter and you will need to have the heating up high.

Is not first time that I visited Holiday Inn Express Stratford : I'm stayed with my family and friend for three nights, everything was very good, food (breakfast and dinner). Cleanliness inside rooms and common areas very good.
I was impressed about kindness and preparation of staff, respect to the first experience in this hotel (year 2008), everything were improved.
I suggest to take in consideration Holiday Inn Express Stratford for your visit to London!
Only one negative matter: internet service (wi-fi) should be free of charge at least for Priority Club Rewards members.

Stayed here to do some Xmas shopping - ideally situated for Westfield shopping centre and Statford tube for London city centre - both a 5 minute walk away. Room warm and comfortable - kids' sofa bad far better than some hotels I've stayed in ! Hotel lovely and clean. Great breakfast selection. Will definitely book again for next year's Xmas shopping trip !

Everything a good as it was 3 months ago on my last visit. But sadly the water pressure in the bathroom is still pathetic. I appreciate putting in one of those things that save water but it makes for a frustrating attempt to shower under a trickle. Lets hope they fix this before my next visit.

The staff on reception were excellent and very efficient. The room was very comfortable and the facilities were very good. The hotel was only a ten minute walk from major transport links at Stratford and also the Westfield shopping mall. The only drawback was the distance from central London.

There is a nice feel about this hotel with a varied mix of guests, holiday makers, business people and contractor crews all staying there.
Staff are very keen, so keen in fact that if you go back up for something at the breakfast area, your breakfast will be gone when you come back, every time, but that's ok.
Everything is good except £20 for the car park is a bit steep.
So don't bring the car.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, including when it was a building site in preparation for the Olympics.
This stay was my worst and was entirely due to the bed which made me sleep poorly on both nights of my stay. Holiday Inn beds are normally firm and comfortable but this was soft and sloppy. Time to replace a few mattresses?
On a more positive note: I rarely use the hotel facilities as there is so much within walking distance but I regularly take breakfast & find this varied and tasty. The staff are always polite and friendly at this early hour.
The main attraction of this hotel is the availability of smoking rooms and the easy access to London City Airport via DLR or bus.
I like this hotel and it pains me to have to include negatives. I have further reservations in 2 & 3 weeks and hope to be able to redress the balance then.

Truly welcoming staff, very helpful and friendly.
Facilities very good, comfortable seating area.
All in all, a gem in East London.

I stayed here one night when I was attending a concert at the o2. Transport was easy - the tube is only 7 minutes walk away and the o2 is only 4 or 5 stops away.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The choice at breakfast was good, although a bit lacking on the cooked side for a vegetarian, however you could help yourself to as much as you wanted.
All in all a positive stay and I would would use this hotel again.

Flying from the Isle of Man to London City Airport the hotel was easily accessed on the DLR. The Underground and bus connections couldn't have been easier. The Westfield shopping centre is great and there is a good selection of restaurants in close proximity between Stratford Station and the hotel.

STAYED JUST THE ONE NIGHT, BUT HOTEL IS VERY VERY GOOD, GOOD STAFF AND EVERYTHING YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS.
WOULD STAY AGAIN IF WE WERE VISITING THE SAME AREA.

Only problem with the rooms were that they were too hot, we couldn't get the temperature to go any lower and found it very stuffy. We could not open the windows as we had 2 small children in the bed under it !
Apart from that our stay was excellent, staff were very accommodating and friendly, food was very good and we would certainly stay again if the need arose.

We have spent 1 week in 3 different rooms of this hotel. In any of these rooms and all the time, we could hear : the air conditioning (2 or 3 machines were in the courtyard near the rooms we occupied) ; many airplanes (the hotel is close to London City Airport) even soon in the morning and late in the evening .
The windows are absolutely not adapted to such a noisy environment.
Fortunately, the personnel was very professional and kind : they changed our room twice but nothing could avoid the noise.
I thought they were never such problems in Holiday Inn hotels. I was wrong. Next time, I don’t know if I shall choose a Holiday Inn Hotel.

I would rate my stay in this hotel as satisfactory and functional.
The location is good, very close to tube station which has tube and DLR connections. The room was clean and functional. Lack of a bath was a little disappointing, but guess space is at a premium.
Wifi was far too expensive. In most hotels I stay in it's free or a nominal fee.
Staff were polite but not very "warm". I felt the place lacked atmosphere, where staff were just doing their job. No friendliness.
Breakfast was ok, if a little basic. All self service.
Bar had limited drink selection.
Whilst I might use hotel again, it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

Superb Short Stay Hotel/Inn. The Booking-in-Process was Straightforward Over The Internet. Email Confirmations Brilliant, Rooms Smart, Clean, Tidy, and Well Equipped With Tea and Coffee etc. Room Cleaned Every Day, to a High Standard, Staff On Reception Knowledgeable and Informative, Helpful and Courteous. Breakfast Excellent and Choice Superb. Check-Out and Reception Fast, Accurate and Straightforward. Excellent Bar Hours late to 1am in the morning, Sensible Information Display in Reception For Tourists etc. The Stay was Superb, And in Great Part To The Staff. I And My Family and Relations Would Without doubt Stay at This Hotel/Inn Again Whilst Visiting London.

Had a good stay whilst on a girly shopping trip to Westfield.
Good location to shopping centre and great that we were able to leave our luggage in a safe room after checking out.
Only slight negatives were: mattress REALLY REALLY soft I nearly rolled out and cooked buffet breakfast served luke warm.
Wouldn't stop me going back - good value for money and staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent Service and friendly and helpful staff.
Good breakfast and parking but £20 charge a little high with the cost of th room too.
Saying that have used this Hotel now a few times and coming back in November on another business trip.
Would Highly recommend, also a pleasure to still have a top hotel you can smoke in, in your room.

I have no complaint about the quality of the hotel. Lovely modern room, great breakfast and good location. Unfortunately the fire alarm was activated in the middle of the night. Now I know the hotel had no control over this and I am happy that the alarm in my room worked. What I wasn't impressed with however was the lack of visibility of hotel staff. Standing in my night wear on a busy road at 4am was not my idea of a good night out. No one from the hotel spoke to us, told us what was going on or gave a reason for the evacuation. People generally gathered against the wall of the hotel and then had to be moved by the fire crew so they could get into the building. It would have been preferable if a member of the hotel staff had thought to move people across the road and out of the way! Just a general apology for the disturbed night either then or at checkout would have been appreciated!

I wasn't sure what to expect when booking a room that was pretty cheap in London terms but it was close to the O2 and I was only staying one night so I thought I'd chance it.
I was pleasantly surprised. The room and bathroom were large, clean, nicely decorated and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, ensuring a good night's rest.
The staff were efficient and friendly and the bar was reasonably priced (for London) and had a good atmosphere.
I didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.
It is excellently located for going to the O2 - there are regular tubes and buses run all night. It might be a bit more of a challenge to get to if I were to go out in the city centre but I would definitely consider staying here again if I were to visit London in the future.

Room service removed my boarding pass, extra baggage receipt spent, taxi bills etc. Gulf air is not ready to give a duplicate bill of extra baggage amount i spent which company can reimburse. Its a loss of ard 250 pounds due to the stay in Holiday Inn. I would not mind if its charged more since i am getting reimbursed from the company.

I wish to commend all the staff and management at this hotel for their excellent friendly and professional service. It was a rare pleasure.
The only disappointment was the water pressure, so low that taking a shower was nigh on imposssible. It was noisy in the night (I was on the road side) but that was caused by workers removing the Olympic Lane signs from the road all night - not the fault of the Hotel.
I look forward to my next visit and meeting the team there again
