Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A Big Disappointment This hotel was definitely not what I've come to expect from a Holiday Inn Express. I had booked a double room with sofa bed for 3 people, paying an absorbent supplement for the 3rd person in the room. The choice of this hotel was due to it being "a few minutes walk from Victoria Station". The definition of "few" certainly didn't match our expectation and was a long way to walk with heavy cases. When we arrived, all seemed O.K. until we arrived in the room to find it was only set up for 2 people. On returning to reception the only staff member apparently on duty said he would come to our room with what we needed, so I returned to the room to wait. A few minutes later he rang to say that if we didn't mind moving, there was a room set up as we required. We were happy to do this and moved to the new room, which although not completely set up for 3 people, did have sleeping arrangements for 3. After going out to a nearby restaurant for a meal, we returned for a reasonable night's sleep before going down to the basement for a rather mediocre breakfast. Due to the distance from Victoria Station we decided to take a taxi to Gatwick Airport rather than walk back to the station. So to summarise, this was a very expensive stay in a hotel that was far from the expected standard. Compare this to our excellent stay in the Holiday Inn at Gatwick on our return from holiday the following weekend which cost us less than half the price! January 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel Stayed for three nights at the end of December. The staff was great, very helpful during the stay. The rooms were nice, had four people in two double rooms, and spacious enough. Bathroom was in good shape and everything was very clean. We had a room facing the street and it was a bit loud at times, so if you need absolute quiet to sleep maybe ask for a room that doesn't overlook the street. The breakfast was much better than most Holiday Inn Express in which I have stayed and the nook has a big skylight. Really pretty area to stay and quick walk to Victoria Station. Not too many restaurants or nightlife right close but only a 15-20 minute stroll. January 8, 2014

We came by car and have found a parking place right in front the hotel.It's a budget hotel providing a very good service for there price. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Plus, you can find smoking rooms. So, if you are a smoker you will appreciate this. Many thanks for hotel staff, who make our stay comfortable. X January 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for a family weekend. We had a great family weekend at this hotel. The location is ideal for reaching all areas of London. We parked on the street, directly outside the hotel and left the car there all weekend for free which was so easy and saved the usual heavy parking charges. Hotel was clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was ok. We will definately stay here again. December 31, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and ok just for a bed The hotel is clean but has little else to commend it since you can pay just a little more and stay in a Holiday Inn, and not a HI Express. I found staff at check in ok, though not over helpful, not wanting to book a cab for the morning, so we had to stand in the damp and cold to stop one in the street. Free internet offered, and I was told that this was because of my Prioity Club membership, but found that this was offered to everyone. A free newspaper is available, but the hotel did not offer to get me the one that I routinely read and would have happily paid for. There is no restaurant but there is a breakfast room in a windowless cellar. Breakfast is included in the rate but I would prefer to either have the option not to take breakfast and have a reduced room rate, or to pay for a decent breakfast. Scrambled eggs were cold and dry, toast very poor quality bread, sausage disgusting, beans congealed, pastries stale and coffee undrinkable. Ugh! It seems that the hotel buy the cheapest items. Why bother? I have stayed there once before and returned since it was close to where I needed to be the next morning, but this will be my last stay here. Had I been on holiday and booked in here for several days I would have been bitterly disappointed. December 20, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent reception staff For the reception staff nothing was too much trouble, smiley, friendly and helpful. Reception area very clean and tidy. Lift was a problem when the hotel was full, there is only one and so sometimes it was a long wait for the lift. Hairdryer was a push button affair so difficult to use if you have hand problems, better to take your own. Closer to Pimlico underground if you have luggage otherwise not too far to walk to Victoria Station for all buses and underground. December 13, 2013

Tha rooms were small but practical,clean and warm. The breakfast was excellent and there was a general calm and welcoming feeling about the hotel, I would definitely go again. December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the staff were very oblizing and gave excellent service you only problem we found was the quality of the magnetic strips and the cards for opening the door. we only spent two nights but had to have the cards rebooted twice. otherwise we had no problems. very good location for both the river and the shops December 5, 2013

It is nice to be recognised and know what to expect from your hotel. The hotel rooms are clean and have very comfortable beds. We have slept very well on all visits. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly, helpful staff; great location! Delicious breakfast, and someone was always there to wish us a good morning and offer to help in the dining room. Front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful in giving information to make the most of our stay, especially in finding our way around! The only drawback was we initially had trouble finding the hotel as street names in London can change every couple of blocks, and the hotel is in a row of what look to be private apartments. Coming from America, we ignorantly assumed we would be able to see the hotel from blocks away as we were looking for a free-standing structure. Loved the convenient location to mass transit. Reception staff met us with cheerful recognition,explained all we needed to know about the Hotel and services. Provided assistance in guiding us to our rooms offering without prompting to take our bags. They provided plenty of advice regarding the many restaurants in the locality and transport links. Following a buffet style breakfast, checkout was easy and my request to leave bags for collection later was cheerfully accepted without cost. Reception then went outside to organise a Taxi for us then, later in the day, assisted us with our baggage to the awaiting taxi. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay enhanced by the hotel staff members who were so helpful and friendly. November 1, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by London stay Stayed in this hotel for 6 days, the staff are great, breakfast is very good, well located and rooms are small but comofortable, unfortunately the rooms are very noisy and makes it impossible to sleep and I do not mean street noise, it is all the noise coming from the other rooms that makes sleep impossible, just someone walking around in the rooms above you, or using the shower or toilet, someone walking up the stairs makes a loud creaking noise. I might be expecting too much for a London hotel, but I need to be able to get a good nights sleep. October 31, 2013

Got to our box room and it didn't seem very clean, window was wide open and we were ride beside the breakfast room. Phoned reception to change rooms but they said they had nothing to offer but a smoking room. Totally over priced hotel!! I understand it is London but far too over priced, room was tiny and when we complained to staff they were rude about it. Breakfast not great either and breakfast room far too small. Guests were standing about waiting for a table for quite a while. October 31, 2013

He saved my bacon when my secretary had forgotten to include some papers for an important meeting in my folder. He downloaded and printed them for me - and ensured that I went to work with my image intact - THANKS for going the extra mile it was very appreciated! Also how convenient - just a short step in the rain from the tube. Damp but not drowned on a very wet day. October 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly and helpful staff. Good for a short stay. We arrived dripping wet and reception immediately offered a towel - very welcome. It was good to be able to leave our case after check out so that we did not have to drag that around London. The only criticism is that the breakfast room is rather small, which could cause problems at times. Possibly offer guests dedicated breakfast time to alleviate problem. October 16, 2013
