Front desk staff need proper training in customer skills a few of them are uncouth and not trained to handle guests complaints.
Kitchen staff are commendable, other departments should learn from the kitchen staff how to serve the guests professionalyl instead of the way they carry on as if the guests owe them a living. Forgetting without the guests, they do not have jobs.

Stayed 2 nights in April 2015.
I like the newly refurbished modern, simple, clean and comfortable room, and the friendly staff too !
A big plus .. Complimentary good speed wifi and hot breakfast (pretty good selection) included.
Good location (but a bit quiet area) , about 5-10 mins walking distance to Vauxhall Train/Tube station.
Great that there are a couple of eateries (including a chinese food takeaway) nearby the hotel.

This is a great hotel for traveling into London by car, it's located just outside the congestion charge and offers good parking on site.
The hotel was being refurbished when I first came last year (under new ownership?) and I initially had one of the "older" rooms...
My second visit introduced me to a guest room that had been upgraded but an "average" bathroom, all o.k BUT on my third visit I had a room on the fourth floor which was excellent! Great decor, stunning bathroom and shower, if this is the standard now to be expected you will not be disappointed..
I am an award winning hotelier myself ( I don't announce this when I book in) so know what to look for and what I like, this holiday inn express is my London choice and well done to those that make it as good as it now appears to be.
Looking forward to my fourth visit in October to test once more what appears to be a very good standard.
