Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel pleasant nice staff. I am disable and had ease of access and was given a ground floor room. only thing in the bedroom step up to bathroom i am disabled so nearly tripped over. Room was very good beds really good, internet a bit temperamental. Staff excellent. July 5, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location, sketchy neighborhood, spotty service We stayed here due to its proximity to and affordability during Wimbledon. It was easy to get to the matches (the bus was just across the street). Room was cramped, even by London budget standards. Service was inconsistent Staff was friendly but not overly helpful with regard to other questions, etc. Breakfast was awful (even by budget London standards) July 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal spot for Wimbledon Me and my wife stayed on the first Saturday of Wimbledon. The staff were excellent and very helpful, the room was clean and tidy, parking was available for a modest charge under the hotel and breakfast was very good, though not much choice. All told a very good hotel for a very reasonable cost. I would definitely stay again. Steve Newton-le-willows. July 3, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by New beds please! The "double" bed provided was really only big enough for one person. The mattress was so soft and it felt like a trampoline. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast area was pleasant and comfortable. Food provided was very tasty and plentiful. July 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, spacious room and good service Stayed at hotel as it is ideal location for Wimbledon tennis. Stayed there last year and I must say that the breakfast had improved - sausages were of better quality. July 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very well looked after Staff were friendly and responded to our needs. The room was clean and everything was up together. The only minor problems were: - The wi-fi reception was not great - The shower was not very powerful June 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel and very easy to get to Nicely set out and the rooms were of a good size and the bed very comfy. Good choice at breakfast and very easy to reach via public transport. June 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, quiet room, friendly service. Stayed for 2 nights. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. The location, adjacent to Colliers Wood Underground station was very convenient. The only glitch was the unavailability of WiFi in my room. However, reception was excellent in the lobby. Overall a very enjoyable stay and positive experience, June 25, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Stay This hotel is clean, comfortable and allows for a pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The parking is costly however I feel should be included in the cost of the hotel. June 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, nice stay Very quiet nice atmosphere, friendly staff, super clean rooms, would definitely stay again. Breakfast was very random, however everyone had their fill! Straight opposite tube station and convenience stores which is great. Nice hot shower! June 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good choice We stayed at this hotel for three nights while viviting London. Worked quite well as it is well connected with the underground train system. Our room was a bit noicy as it was quite close to the street, but other than that we enjoyed the stay. June 24, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Powdered Eggs for Breakfast? Lovely helpful staff. The hotel rooms are very dated and are in need of a refurb. Nice bar area, but not much choice for food or drink June 18, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing for Holiday Inn My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in June 2014. The hotel is located next to Colliers Wood station, NOT Wimbledon, so we had to get a taxi from Wimbledon. The hotel is modern, very clean and reasonably quiet too (though watch out for noise from the pub next door). The restaurant was very disappointing with only two choices of main meal - both curry/Indian food. The breakfast service area is tiny for the size of hotel so watch out for the rush at breakfast. The aircon seemed to go off in the middle of the night both nights - perhaps to save cost - not nice! Overall, disappointing by Holiday Inn standards! June 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Location Stayed here for a week (2 rooms) while visiting London. Very convenient to tube (across street), with easy access to central London. Rooms are modern, clean, with comfortable bed. The sofa bed needs a better mattress, though. Bathrooms were large (for Europe), with a very good shower. Breakfast area is large and comfortable, and staff did very well keeping food stocked and tables clean during busy mornings. Wi-Fi was awful. Have to enter lengthy ID and password each time you use your computer or unlock phone - network would not remember credentials. Connection would drop often also. June 9, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room OK - bathroom needed attention Stay here regularly (about fortnightly) - room was OK but shower was impossible to use in the morning, as the shower head constantly "drooped" whilst in use and water pressure poor. Sink plug would not stay in the plug hole - difficult to shave when the water constantly runs away. Brought to attention of reception at checkout - which was met with indifference./ No offer of room refund or voucher for next stay. Could do better! June 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express Colliers Wood This is one of the best Holiday Inn Expresses I have stayed in. The rooms are up to date, very modern with excellent fittings and furnishings. With secure parking and a tube station right outside, access to central London is easy and quick. The staff are efficient and friendly. Excellent. June 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Night at the dogs Stayed here for a single night when attending the Greyhound derby final at wimbledon greyhound stadium. Good location for the track. Staff were excellent, very polite, professional and the hotel seemed to run very efficiently. Room was nice,a little small perhaps but perfectly adequate and very clean with a modern and spotlessly clean bathroom. Breakfast was fine, not a huge selection of cooked food but plenty enough for most people i would imagine and all freshly cooked and tasty.Look forward to returning for next years greyhound derby final, wouldnt stay anywhere else in this area. June 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect stop for Greyhound Derby I booked for a quality stay near the Wimbledon greyhound stadium. Hotel was as expected very busy for that night but met some lovely people over for the same reason. A few drinks and chat with fellow residents helped round the night off. Definitely be booking for next year and will recommend my friends do too. When booking by phone received fantastic assistance from Dana, who listened to my requirements and helped complete my reservation. Not only that she remembered our conversation when I checked in. Service at it's best and with a smile. June 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great service I staid in this hotel for one night with my friend in two beds room. I found it comfortable, clean and good service. I am not as such pleased with the breakfast but I can say that it is a nice friendly and quite hotel. May 15, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal for getting into central London easily Be aware - if you pay for parking (£15 per night) but then leave the hotel you may come back to find someone has your space and there is nowhere for you to park! On Saturday a friend and I did the Moonwalk for breast cancer, we had planned to park the car at Clapham Common where the walk started/finished so that we could get back to the hotel easily as we knew we wouldn't be finished until 5am ish. On checking into the hotel I checked that we would be able to have access to the car park during the early hours hours (it's a shutter door so you have to be let in) the receptionist then said that they couldn't guarantee there would be a space on our return - even though we'd paid! They just keep letting people in to park! Ridiculous as the car park is very small so you would think they could put a simple booking system in place. I half expected to get back to the room and find someone else in my bed!!! The staff were not particularly friendly or helpful and the breakfast was dire - I guess as it's 'free' they feel they don't need to make an effort with the standard and choice of food they put out? There is a Premier Inn very close by, I think I will be using that in future! May 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We have come to rely on Holiday Inn Express Thank goodness we now get free wifi !!!!!!!! At long last. We think that the parking charge should have been revealed on the Room Cost Page before the Your Booking Has Been Confirmed when it is too late. Otherwise everything was as it should be. April 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent hotel I stayed at hotel recently for 3 nights and found it exactly what we required. It is 1 minute walk from colliers wood tube station, which was perfect for the tube link to all the tourist attractions we wanted to see. it was 1 minute walk from a burger king and another restaurant that was kid friendly. There was also a sainsburies there and a shopping centre(we never made it in to this). I did think the breakfast could have been varied a bit it was the same every morning, but it suited the children and we didn't go hungry. although I slept on the sofa bed fine, I did feel the sheets didn't fit properly and moved all the time. but it didn't stop me from sleeping. overall hotel was very clean all staff were very friendly and helpful. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice recommended experience PROS: Good hotel location and very Friendly Staff Tasty delcicious breakfast, available from early morning (open) Parking place for car Elevator from park, ground to room Clean comfort room Cons: No variety of breakfast daily (same over 4 days) Some items may disappear before closing of breakfast time No shampoo on showers Only free channels available on TV April 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great but awful sofa bed Excellent location - breakfast was good but chaotic due to being busy as London marathon weekend but staff coped as best as they could which was commendable - if didn't help everybody taking croissant for the day. Only issue was the sofa bed in our room as the mattress was about 3 inches thick and had a dip in the middle so was uncomfortable other than that was a great hotel to stay at. April 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value for your money! A great alternative to the overpriced/poor quality central London hotels....excellent value for your money....20 min tube ride into central London....will definitely be planning a return visit. April 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value Spacious rooms, comfortable, good showers and free internet, good breakfast. Be aware that the rooms adjacent to Colliers Wood are noisy with the traffic and ambulances from st Georges. This does die down by around 11 PM. April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rugby tournament booked 7 rooms after rugby tournament; friendly and efficient staff; no fuss made by staff despite the amount of guests different needs. thanks Romy April 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight stay TV in room - not really a concern for us as we were out of the hotel for most of our stay- and the shower extractor fan both not functioning. Mentioned this to reception on check-out, for the benefit of future guests, but received no apology or interest from the receptionist. Breakfast good but lacking choice when compared with competitors. Room quiet but dingy with low wattage lighting not adequate. April 3, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by cooked break fast no choice with the breakfast, they couldn't spoil the eggs and beans, but the sausages were awful. it was like eating cardboard. April 3, 2014
