Got into London to drop off Christmas presents for the week-end. Overall, the week-end was a good one but on the Saturday night, London got hammered with a snowstorm. The only complaint I have is that a private contractor came to the outdoor parking area and did just the back row of cars. Problem was that when he did this, he left a snowbank that most of the drivers had to dig out from. I would recommend that if the hotel is going to call someone in, they make sure the job is completed. It took me almost an hour to dig out my car and then try to navigate the snow filled parking lot.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. Having the complimentary breakfast was terrific and convenient. Fantastic rooms that were well kept and clean.
My only issue is that the TV reception was inconsistent fading in and out over my two night stay.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. Staff is friendly and caring. I always stay here when in London and highly recommend it if you are visiting the area.

The location and the hotel is what it is, nothing spectacular.
I am regular here, minimum once a months, but sometimes even 3 times I stay here. What make the stay memorable is the staff, who is always friendly and accommodating.

We had a comfortable stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown London. We checked in early and was accomodated immediately even before the check-in time. We had a room at the 8th floor which has a fantastic view of downtown. I liked that the parking was complimentary and that they served eggs, pancakes and sausages/bacon for breakfast. Will definitely stay again if ever we go back to London.

I was surprised how thin the walls were. When I tried to relax in my room I could hear the vacuums in the halls and people talking and moving about in the hall. The room and bed was comfortable and the hotel was clean. The staff were also accomodating.

The room was quite comfortable and the staff was very friendly. However, the heater in my room was not working properly - I didn't bother calling the staff because it was late and I was tired.

The management of this hotel was completely sub-par and unacceptable. The parking lot is extremely poorly signed, leading to guests parking in spots that are not technically parking spots. This is clearly an ongoing issue, and likely happens every weekend, but nothing has been done to correct it. Instead of pointing out that there are 3 parking lots when the front desk staff handed me my parking pass, instead, they decided to call me at 1am and ask me to move my car. I was not treated like a valued guest at any point during my stay, and I will never recommend, nor return to this hotel ever again.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now. We usually stay here when we are catching a concert at Budweiser Gardens. Both times I have stayed here the check-in process and front desk are PAINFULLY slow. There is only ever one person working the Front Desk (even though there are 2 computers so 2 people could be working) and the employee at the Front Desk is constantly calling up to the maids to see if a person's room is ready.
This time we arrived just after 4pm (which is check-in time) only to find out that our room was not ready - the reason - they were extremely busy (unacceptable if you ask me). Luckily we were traveling with another couple and the room they had booked was ready so we decided to go with them to their room so we could get ready for the concert. The attendant at the Front Desk said that he would call us once our room was ready which he said would be about 10 minutes. An hour and a half later there was still no call and we ended up having to go back downstairs to ask him if our room was ready - which it was. I was not impressed by how slowly this hotel operates. I've stayed in many Holiday Inns and this is the only one that seems to run so slowly. I can understand if you're busy or completely booked up but then you need to staff your hotel to accommodate that. Using "we're extremely busy" is not an excuse when your PAYING guests expect their room to be ready at the time your website says it will be.
Besides the slowness of this hotel - it is clean, the beds are comfy and the breakfast is good.

The room was very comfortable and clean. I was on the 7th floor so road noise was not an issue. The hotel is at a very good location down-town that allows you to walk to a number of good restaurants, shops and pubs. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a nice older Holiday Inn Express. Small, but clean rooms. Probably not the best part of town. A huge plus, very friendly staff. Also wonderful Irish Pub across the street with excellent food. I would stay here again.

Great location and value. Liked the free parking, self serve breakfast and room was fine. Internet took a while to access and food was pretty basic stuff but what do you expect for free. Would definitely come back again. Was nice to walk across the street to the british pub for dinner.

Attended a three day conference in downtown London, mid-September 2013. The Hoilday Inn Express was my choice of accommodations, and am grateful for the quality of the facility. Breakfast was organized and with sufficient variety. Room was comfortable and quiet!
Staff were courteous and able to provide helpful information.
Woould stay at this facility again.

Holiday Inn Express is a decent hotel. Rooms were a little small but comfortable, parking on-site was free and the breakfast choices were standard. Egg's were watery but still tasted good.
The main issue I had was with payment. I had originally booked 2 rooms online a week before but when I went to check in, the amount charged was $70.00 more. Apparently since we had 2 rooms, (3 people in one, 2 in the other) the computer booked it as if 5 people stayed in the one room. After talking to the receptionist, she agree'd to refund $58 of the $70 that was charged extra. Since there was 5 of us, I didn't want to split hairs over the remaining $12.
I'd give the stay 4/5 because of that incident.

Overall we had a good experience but we were disappointed while taking our luggage to the truck before check out. A homeless person with underwear on his head was following my husband around the parking lot and then went into the building (into the breakfast area) begging for money. My husband did complain to the front counter but they seemed unconcerned and just said they did not have 24 hour security. We found it very odd that a beggar was tolerated inside the hotel and allowed to pester guests. We were glad I was not outside alone with our newborn and approached by the man/followed around.
The room and rest of the service was pleasant, clean, quick, polite etc.

at the time of booking it should have been told to us traveling with a trailer that parking was going to be a problem and that you do not offer stairs to the main level? i do not know why or how a hotel can get away without these two things but we will not be staying here again, and with family in the london area this is disappointing as we will have to book with a different hotel brand.

The room was very comfortable, clean and updated. We loved everything about it except the 'basic' cable. We were in town for a couple of days and wanted some down time in the room. The show selection was terrible and there were no movies. Other than that, good stuff.

Overall my stay was great. However, I took a shower and had the bathroom door open. Suddenly I hear my room alarm go off. In the middle of my shower. I climb out soaking wet thinking something serious is going on, the smoke/fire alarm continues to go off. I call the front desk and am told matter of fact "if you shower with the bathroom door open the alarm with go off". It would certainly have been nice to post that common knowledge on a quick, small sign in the bathroom - guests would be able to have a relaxing shower that way.
