At the time of check in, I asked receptionist for a room on upper floor but she replied that there is abosutely no room available on the upper floor. Another colleague of mine checked in 15 minutes later and he got a room on upper floor, although he never asked for a room on upper floor. I think that particular receptionist was too lazy to change my pre-booked room.
I thought being a IHG member, I should be given preference.

I've stayed at this hotel many times. It's always amazing. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean, and breakfast is quick, good, and convenient. I won't stay anywhere else in Louisville.
