Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Smell in Ludington As I stated previous it was the smell and convenience of room locations. Why remodel on Spring break week?? Do it in the winter?? We needed 2 rooms and our daughter almost gagged from the smell. We didn't appreciate when the staff says they don't smell anything and then other people say they do? Even another staff member said "What is that smell"? April 16, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Everything Great, except ... Ludington, MI was the departure point for a ferry service across Lake Michigan carrying logs and lumber to Wisconsin in bygone days. Now it's a tourist destination for water activities in summer and hunting in winter. In Ludington, many older Motels exist of varying quality and many Bed and Breakfasts as well. The Holiday Express, however, is the only relatively newly constructed Motel that shows no signs of aging and fully meets the needs of "modern" travelers. Facilities, Services, Staff significantly exceed those of other accommodations, bar none. The "except" in the title of this Review refers to the widely proclaimed morning food service. In its defense, it was free. At no extra cost you can receive no variety, no freshness, no full feeling and no happy morning smile. Add the cost of breakfast at the next door Big Boy and the stay would be Great with no exceptions. April 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel once They Changed My Room The first room I checked into, I could hear every word of the woman in the next rooms converstaion on her cell phone. She was on the phone non-stop and it was so loud it was unbearable. I requested and received a room change and the next room was much quieter. Sound conditioning is not the best. March 30, 2015
