I stayed here twice over a three week period for a total of 6 nights. During each stay the ice machine on the 1st floor was broken for the duration of both stays. I do not enjoy having to travel the length of the hotel and taking the elevator to another floor for ice. I stay in the Handicap rooms on the 1st floor because I'm handicapped. The pan cake machine was only working sporadically during both stays but I can always eat something else. Who considers a bottle of water and a cookie as a impressive greeting amenity for a platinum member? I will stay here only if no other choice is available.

My overall exp here was sub par for my wife and I. We had to stay here because a snow storm made the road to our new house impassable. First I would like to say that the clerk I dealt with would not honor my military I.D for a discount. Then I was informed that because of the bad weather they would NOT have a problem with my dog staying the night. The guy told me they would not charge a pet fee since we lived in town and the dog was old,but someone must have said something to the staff because I was charged for her to stay. I think the clerk was trying to cover his own self, only for me to be called a liar. She is very old and wears diapers mind you. Breakfast was good and cleaning staff was nice. But let me tell you upon checkout I get a call from my credit card telling me that I was charged 3 diff times in one day for one nights stay mind you. They not only charged for my dog but also charged that extra fee in case we bought something plus their rate for one night. PLUS an additional 50.00!!! on top of dog room fee. I was told part would be refunded to my card which was not and when speaking to my card company found out that it cost me over 200.00 for one night their. If you have a dog or cat I would highly recommend you stay away, unless you want your credit card to be flagged for fees.Not to mention the rude desk clerk who told me being in the military does not get me special treatment or being a student for that matter. My wife suffers from transverse mialitis and has seizures just about everyday. The dog we have helps her stay calm lowering the frequency of them. This was just not a good exp for us. Being that we rent out a Holiday Inn in southern Va for 4 days totaling almost 100 people every year. Very disappointing that the service was not the same.

For someone who travels for work over 100 nights a year, my experience at this property was extremely disappointing. Older property with no suites, service was poor and rude, breakfast items were not fresh, room was dirty at check-in and AC blows. Management is unresponsive. No recognition for platinum member--nothing at check-in.

Had difficulty with the room key [card] working in exterior doors. The breakfast was horrible. Limited selection, food was cold, coffee was cold.

I always stay at this hotel when in Lynchburg. The management, the staff and breakfast lady are all very thoughtful, nice and efficient. The rooms are clean the halls are clean and they strive to please.

This was a real value. The staff was great, the room was very clean and the bed & pillows were really comfortable. The breakfast was above average. Location was excellent with regards to restaurants.

Room was great. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend...however I encourage you to get a room that is not on the road. It was a bit noisy.

My wife and I stayed at this Inn 11/30/2013. We were very impressed with the staff, the motel, and all the nice amenities they provided for our comfort. The breakfast and the courteous service we received will keep us going back to this Inn anytime we are in Lynchburg, Va.
