This hotel is really new (as of Feb 2015) and it shows! It's clean, well laid out. Staff was excellent and worked with me on using some days on IHG rewards points and some on regular billing.
A few very (VERY# minor nits:
1. The room has "green technology" and lowers the temperature when nobody is in the room. As we were out most of a couple of days, and it was VERY cold #as in below zero outside temps#, we came back to a room that was at 65 degrees instead of 72. I inquired about this at checkout and found this out. No biggie, but it would have been nice to understand it while we were there. And that leads to the next nit:
2. There were a couple of lights #a red one high up on the wall and a green one on the ceiling# that were on a slow blink. Most of the time you didn't notice these, but at night you could see them. They did not bother me, but they might bother some people. I did not ask about these but suspect they had something to do with the "green technology".
3. Other Holiday Inn Express'es where I have stayed had a larger selection of fruit on the breakfast menu. This one "only" had bananas, apples, and oranges. #I said these were nits!#
4. This one is really unexplained: the 40" flat screen TV would turn itself on, kind of, in the middle of the night. By "kind of" I mean that you could tell that the power had come on, but there would not be any sound or picture -- the screen would just get a dark gray glow. The remote would NOT turn it off or for that matter turn it all the way on. After a while, the TV would go fully off and then it would be usable again. The front desk was baffled over this. It would be nice to know what was really going on with that TV...

Despite the frigid temperatures, the hotel was warm.
People were welcoming and kind and the facility was all that I expected and a piece of candy too.
My one thought was that the fitness center was fair at best. They need more regular servicing.

I rarely write reviews for hotels, but this hotel was fantastic! The staff was very professional, room was clean and the breakfast was impeccable. The food was good and the staff kept everything organized and refreshed.
I was very pleased with everything at this hotel. Thank you!
