Great hotel, stayed for a weekend with my partner and son couldnt fault it. Easy checkin room spotlessly clean gleaming infact.staff friendly and helpful breakfast was lovely. Bed comfortable nice and dark and quiet at night in a lovely area with restaurants and a few bars. 2mins from shudehill and a 5mins walk into the centre of town we were there for my son to go to a football match we got the metro at shudehill all well located and was great to know we had a great place to stay at the end of the day. If you are considering staying here you will not be dissapointed.........

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jagga 64 Brilliant night away from home but....
All was great bar 1 thing - dietary requirements (like most places) are still not being recognised by hotels and restaurants. My daughter is coeliac and I am allergic to pork products - the breakfast menu for these two conditions alone is, to say the least, limited for one if not almost impossible for the other.
Come on IHG - set the standard and consider the changing face of the nations dietary needs in your menus/offerings - gluten-free and non-lactose etc. products are no longer hard to find items and costs are reducing on them constantly as more producers realise the scale of the issue (Warburtons for bread, Arla for milk, for example)!
Thanks in advance for taking note of this only issue to blight what was otherwise a brilliant weekend away!

Very clean and modern. Wonderful stylish room with great bathroom and shower, Frienfly staff, well situated in a bohemian area
Breakfast offering is rubbish - no bacon or fried eggs offered. Advertises "continental" breakfast but no rolls in site - just sliced bread. "English" coffee out of a press button machine.
Room keys that dont work when you return to room, meaning you got to all the way back to reception and wait in queue to get them fixed

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great base to explore Manchester, but breakfast disappointing
The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the city centre, every place we wanted to visit was within a 15 to 20 minute walk. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, we even managed to book in early as the room was not occupied.
Parking was quite easy, although the hotel has none. We parked on an empty site nearby, next to a couple of coop buildings, £4 for the friday and only £2 for the saturday, could believe it was so cheap for a city centre.
The only downfall that I could see was the breakfast, the choice of hot food was only sausages, scrammbled egg and baked beans. No bacon, no fried egg, no tomato, no mushrooms and no hash browns. Were is the great british breakfast? Bit disappointing really.
