Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice space, needs a good clean We are very brand loyal to this chain, and have stayed at many HI Expresses here and abroad. This hotel is in a convenient location with great pool amenities. We enjoyed the August feature of evening pancakes and my kids slept well. Kai was a friendly front desk clerk who chatted with my kids in the evening, and the young lady serving breakfast was helpful and efficient. However, when we first went into our room I went to wash my hands and noticed toothpaste in the sink from the previous guest. I mentioned it to the front desk, as I know this is the preferred method to express concern. The attendant apologized. After that, I started noticing more things. The common areas were all very dusty. This was true of front desk area and the landings outside of the elevator. While I have never been a germaphobe, I started not wanting to touch things in the hotel. As previously stated, my kids slept well, but I tossed and turned wondering what other things were also unclean in the room and the hotel. August 9, 2015
