We were entirely pleased with our stay. I didn't rate the breakfast because we never ate in. Room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Convenient location. Staff always friendly and accommodated our requests.

We stayed here twice (down & back) on our Florida trip and both times had a great experience. The staff is so friendly. Beds are comfortable and rooms are quiet. Would highly recommend. The breakfast was outstanding and the attendent was attentive and friendly. Will stay here again and again. A++++

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY,VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, WE HAD A GREAT ROOM, & BREAKFAST VERY GOOD & HOT!!!! WILL DEF BE STAYING HERE AGAIN NEXT TIME WERE IN MARION!!! WE NEEDED A CRIB CALLED THE DAY BEFORE IT WAS IN ROOM & SET UP WHEN WE GOT THERE! EASY CHECK IN & OUT!!!

This hotel had been struck by lightning a few nights prior to our stay and the staff had worked feverishly to correct all the problems that occurred electrically. We were offered an upgrade only to find our the heating and cooling system did not work. The staff worked for many hours to trouble shoot then gave us many options to make our night perfect. We had a perfect stay!! The breakfast staff, housekeeping, maintenance and front desk staff were ALL amazing. We will find a reason to stay there again!!

Friendly service and couldn't ask for more. Very clean and up-to-date facility!! I had a small problem on my very first visit and management went above and beyond to take care of the problem. Because of that, this is now my 4th return to HIE. With all the hotels in walking distance, I chose HIE because of how they handle the first visit.

This had to be one of the best stays I have ever had in a Holiday Inn Express. The staff at Marion was top notch- our Premium Elite upgrade was completed several days before we checked in, they seemed to listen and care when we had a request, and everything went perfectly. The kids loved the pool and the location is right off I-57 near all the attractions nearby in West Marion. The rooms are modern and everything was clean and in great condition.
The same young lady at the front desk checked us in on Friday, April 5th and out on the 6th- she was extremely friendly and a wonderful employee. I noticed during breakfast she was greeting everybody with a friendly "Good morning" as they walked in and out of the door. Unfortunately, I forgot to catch her name before I left, but I want to make sure she gets the accolades she deserves (as a former front desk agent with Holiday Inn Express over 15 years ago, I know how good it feels to receive a compliment for a job well done).
It's only a shame my family owns property in the Lake of Egypt area so I cannot stay at this location more often! But I will surely pass the word on to others who are looking to stay in Southern Illinois!

The Marion Holiday Inn Express is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are very stylish with nice features, such as roll-out desks and wall-mounted flat screen televisions. The breakfast is better than the ordinary hotel food. We were even greeted, as priority club members, with bottled water and snacks for each person in our family. Every staff member is helpful, courteous, and friendly. We stayed on our way from Michigan to Texas, and enjoyed it so much, we stayed on our way home as well.

This was a great room--flawlessly cleaned, nice decor, comfortable bed--and EXTRA bedding for the ones of our family that get chilly at night (we often have to trek down to the front desk at hotels to get this). We also really appreciated the snacks and water that we got for being priority club members--the kids always want womething to munch on no matter how late we get in. Thanks for a great stay--good job!

This is one of the newer Holiday Inn Expresses with the new updated look. Huge TV mounted on wall, boutique grade lamps, décor, etc.....clean and spacious.

I have stayed at this particular location for an extended period of time on several occasions. Everyone is extremely friendly. Each individual on staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate all of my needs. Each stay is a pleasant experience. This is one of the newest and is clearly the best hotel in the area.

I travel all over the state of Illinois and I will go out of my way to find and stay at the Holiday Inn Express. This particular one is the exact reason why. The staff had an excellent attitude. They had a computer issue at the front desk when I checked in and these two guys did not miss a beat. They had my room ready and I was up in the nicest room I have ever been in, in no time. If I have to stay anywhere else, I will just simply not travel anymore. It is the only place that feels like home, when I am not home. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!!

This hotel is fabulous. Staff is professional and helpful. Rooms are equiped for the business traveler, large desks, comfortable and spacious. I would highly recommend. Living on the road for 300 plus days a year, this is a diamond in the rough.

Traveling back from New Orleans I came upon this location by chance and am so glad I did. Its beautiful and updated for sure, but my experience with the staff was outstanding. The front desk guys could not have been more accomodating. I regretfully didn't make it in time for breakfast but there was hot coffee and fruit to grab on the go. I hope to stop here again in the future!

I stay exclusively at HIE when they are available. This is the very best one so far. It is new...but they have paid attention to the customer wants and needs.....like fans in the bathrooms.....like work tables you can actually work at comfoetably.

My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with this property. We realize it is rather new, however, our room seemed to have every convenience anyone would want. We were especially thrilled with the roll-out desk/table. We had decided to bring our dinner in so we pulled the desk/table out and pulled chairs up to it. It was a perfect table for our dinner. Then when we were done, I pushed it back and set my computer on it and used it as a desk. The small reading lights on the sides of the bed were wonderful as well. Very handy for me since I stay up later. My husband appreciated not having a bright light on that would disturb him.
My only recommendation is that the shower curtain was a bit too short. At one point my husband said it came out of the bathtub/shower and a lot of water flowed onto the floor. We cleaned it up.
We loved the space provided where we could open our extra suitcases instead of setting them on the floor.
We were pleasantly pleased when the desk clerk offered us 2 free bottles of water and a choice of several snacks, for being Priority Club Members.

Very clean, large room. Perfect place to stay while visiting the SIU campus and attending Saluki game.
Being a Priority Club member was well worth it. Received a free upgrade and complimentary snacks.
These folks know how to treat people right.

We pass through this part of the country periodically, and have found this particular Holiday Inn Express to be most worthy in every way. Premises are well-maintained. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything runs smoothly. Food is terrific. The location is convenient, whether we are staying one night or more. Great selection of surrounding restaurants. Auto repair and gas stations are also convenient. Rooms are always like new.

We rented a king suite. The room was large and very comfortable. My wife and I were able to relax after getting to the hotel. The service was excellent by the manager and his staff.
We love the breakfast with the pancakes and the fresh baked cinnamon rolls.
