Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Restfull and enjoyable I arrived in Marshall after a long drive and looked for an IHG group Hotel. I found the Holiday Inn Express and checked in. The front desk girl was great. She was friendly, and extremely helpful. She recommended a good place to eat and made me feel welcome. She recognized me as an IHG rewards club member and registered my stay. If I had to find any shortcoming I would have to say the breakfast could have been better. It seemed that the staff at breakfast had other things on their mind so there were short items on the hot line. June 25, 2015

The staff was very organized and helpful in all facets of our stay. We had contact with the owner (who went out of his way to accommodate us), the manager (who was wonderful), the front desk staff (couldn't have survived this business trip without their [especially Carl's] organization and assistance, and the maintenance staff always friendly). Highly recommend for business travelers - especially ones who may have a lengthy stay while in trial in Marshall. June 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and very clean The front desk staff was very friendly and made sure that I got the room that I wanted (away from the elevators). The rooms were clean and the decor was updated and contemporary. The bathrooms were spacious and well-lit. The breakfast area was nicely decorated, everything was clean and the food was replenished often. The whole hotel was very clean and all the staff we encountered were nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel! June 9, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really nice hotel except for one small thing. We enjoyed all aspects of this hotel and have stayed here previously with equally good experiences. The only thing we did not like was the nightly gathering of truck drivers, construction workers, etc. in lawn chairs and on the curb outside the front entrance. There were often 10 - 12 men, smoking, drinking and sitting around watching the comings and goings into the lobby. This is very unsettling to be bring family into the hotel after dark with this nightly gathering. I would really recommend the hotel deal with this as it is very off-putting. Other than this unfortunate situation, everything else about this hotel is really very nice. Good value for the money! June 2, 2015
