As a group of veterans who had not seen each other in 20 years, we were obviously talking a lot. The staff opened the breakfast area so that we could visit and talk without disturbing other guests. In all fairness they could have told us to be quite or leave, but they were very pleasant and we all appreciated it very much. We even cleaned up after ourselves so as not to be a burden on the staff.

Smell horrible inside. It was like old sweat simlar to oold sweat socks. Would never stay here again.

Many Thanks to Lea Ann for all you did for a bunch of veterans getting together for their first reunion, you were very nice, friendly, and helpful to all of us 20 to 25 of us could have been more you were great. thanks to the cleaning staff too.

The staff was very polite, friendly, and helpful from the moment we walked in until we checked out. The room was very comfortable, cool, and dark enough for sleep. The bathroom was clean and the towels were soft. The soap, shampoo/conditioner, and lotion were very nice, the coffee maker worked well, and the tv had many channels. We even returned here on our way back . We will definitely stay here again.

Remodel, this facility needs to be up dated. Elevators, larger breakfast area, better organized to facilitate flow of guest in the breakfast bar.

While the room was very clean and comfortable there was only one flaw and that was that the door to the room was so worn out that we could see into the hall way near the bottom of the door. This door should be replaced. The local restaurant that the desk clerk recommended was excellent and we appreciated her recommendation.

This property needs an elevator. Had to carry luggage up the stairs. There was hair in the bathtub and on the towels. On the plus side, the bed was extremely comfortable. Pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Overall this is a good stopping point when travelling on I-40. Wish they had an exercise facility, though. That added extra would make a bid difference!

I have travelled through this area many times over the last 40 years and have never stayed in this hotel. It was a pleasant alternative to Springfield and provided a very comfortable stay at a very reasonable price. Staff and guests were very open and friendly.

This is an older motel. They allow both smoking and pets. The halls stunk of stale cigarette smoke and we had a barking dog in the room next door. The owner propped open the side outside door instead of fixing the electronic lock. Said he couldn't be bothered with the problem since it was the weekend. No security. Almost no accessible electrical outlets in the room.
On the plus side, the staff was very helpful and polite.
We can not recommend this motel. We will not be back.

Let me say this first my wife and I try to stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels whenever possible on our trips. Up till now all experiences have been great. I will make this short, we made reservations well in advance, arrived at the hotel around 12:30, met at the desk by a very rude lady, waited 1o minutes before we were told a room was even available. The room, an average room overall but when you find prescription drugs on the floor under the desk it makes you wonder if a vacuum was used. In short when visiting this area we will not stay there again.

We were very disappointed with the overall hotel quality since the last time we spent time here.
This time the entire hotel smelled off stale smoke. My wife took a shower one morning and after she walked on the carpet in the room (Room 106), it turned the bottom of her feet BLACK. She was able to wash it off, but that is simply unsanitary.
The staff was courteous and the breakfast food was wonderful.

I only use this hotel because it is local when I have family visit from out of town. The woman who was at the front desk was the rudest desk attendant I have ever dealt with at any hotel location. When she asked to see my photo id I got out the first available and was immediately told "NO, your drivers liscense" in a very hateful and demanding tone. When I asked why my military ID was not acceptable I was told "because that is our hotel policy and a drivers license is the only acceptable form of ID. Also if I don't show a drivers license then she has no way to know if the military ID is valid and there is no way she is getting stuck paying my bill".
Outside of the staff issue this is a very basic and dated hotel which does not bring the value that you would expect from the cost. Basically there isn't much competition in town and they know this so they are safe charging a 5 star price for a 3 star hotel and accomodations.

As always, I enjoyed my stay in Marshfield very much. However, I was disappointed to find that 2 large car hauling semis and a large truck hauling another truck plus a pickup with a trailer were all parked along the South side of the building where my car was parked. I mentioned this to the clerk on duty and she was not concerned. I suggest these big rigs park somewhere else than on motel property because I had a terrible time backing and manuevering around them.

Sherri greeted us warmly and was very very nice. We enjoyed a great night sleep on a comfortable bed and a quite and clean room. If we pass this way again we will definitely make this our hotel of choice. The attention Sherri gave us was one of the major reasons we would return. Excellent staff that made us comfortable and welcome. Great place!

When the reservations were made well in advance for our two stays (March 31st and April 11th), ALL of the information was provided to the main headquarters; this DID include my Town, State, etc. Everything was great on the first stay (see my review). On the second stay were were tired, hungry, stressed, etc. and were given a third-degree grilling that the KGB would have admired. Why?? Because the system -or- whomever took down the information did not complete my town, state, etc. ALL of this information was given for the two stays. We felt like we were being attacked and treated very shabbily. There was NO error on my part; just some short coming in the Holiday Inn registration system. We had done NOTHING wrong, and to be treated in such a manner is infuriating. Hopefully our experience will help someone in the future. Hotel staff should not be treating the public in such a disrespectful rude manner!!

When we arrived at the location, we had brought beverages with us but didn't have a refrigerator in the room. We went to the front desk and explained our issue and were promptly given a cooler to use! The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions about the locale. This is not our first stay here and it won't be our last. Thank you also for having smoking rooms!

The staff was nice but the room was in real need of remodeling and updating, bathroom towels were so old it was weird and the room felt a little cheap. I would paid more for a better room but all the hotels were booked in Springfield.

Made our reservation, on the road, on iPhone about 15 minutes before arrival and we were in our room in less than 10 minutes after arriving. Very efficient and courteous staff. A pleasant stop at our half-way point on our trip home; definitely would stay here again. Seen a lot of comments about no fridge in room, was NOT a deal breaker for us.

I normally choose Holiday Inn Express locations when travelling on business and had an opportunity to stay in this location during a family get away. We arrived without reservations and late at night / early morning. Sherri greeted us with an incredibly pleasant attitude and was very interested in making our stay the best it could be: personally delivering extra towels as well as assisting with the hide-a-bed. Even though she was scheduled to leave at 0700, she was still assisting with breakfast at 0900 due to the hotel being completely booked and many guests visiting the breakfast bar. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler, business or personal. Especially if they get an opportunity to meet Sherri.

I was helped by Lea Ann when I checked in for the evening. She was extremely helpful and courteous. In todays's electronic age, finding someone that is friendly and interested in carrying on a conversation is a pleasure. She also took time to help me locate the restaurant where I was meeting friends. I will definately stay at this property again. Thank you, Rick

We didn't hang out at the hotel much. But what time we were there, it was pleasant. Check in was very speedy. Room was clean, they even gave us a bottom floor room as requested (hubby is legally blind but I let them know we didn't HAVE to have a bottom level if it was a problem#. Could hear other guests coming and going #doors# so wasn't sound proof. But I knew what the noise was so didn't let it bother me, slept like a log on the comfortable bed. Plenty of pillows, whatever kind you prefer. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. Breakfast was well stocked. Even saw a dude come in with 2 large travel mugs and filled them with coffee, the staff promptly checked the amount of coffee and made sure there was still plenty for the rest of us. They had fresh bananas available the whole time we were there. I had never seen that at a hotel before and thought it was a very nice idea since some people tend to suffer from leg cramps when traveling. Would recommend this place and would stay there again. Wasn't too far from Springfield #which is where we were actually visiting) and right on the highway so we didn't have all the hustle and bustle of the big town traffic close to the hotel.

Hotel was clean, accommodations comfortable, and staff friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. My only negative was that there was limited hot water in the morning, due to the large number of guests. (I talked to the front desk about it)

Stayed two nights. The people were great. My only issue was with the iron and iron board. Low quality iron and they bolted the iron holder to the board. I see this off and on and just hate it. Hotel is not smoke free.

Our out-of-state party rented several rooms while in Marshfield for a wedding. The staff was most friendly and helpful in all instances and offered many extras to help us in preparation for our festivities - use of breakfast room for family gathering, extra materials for crafting of decorations, use of the laundry (children spill things!), suggestions for activities and more.
The breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you for help in making our weekend a memorable success!

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location just off I-44 was very good. The hotel, however, is in need of updating. It looks as if Holiday Inn purchased this property from another chain, so it wasn't quite up to HI Express's standards. There was no workout facility and the breakfast area was quite small. The bathroom in my room was very small as well. I usually am very happy with HI Express, but this one was a little disappointing, although the price helped offset the deficiencies.
