Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room 117, connected to the mechanical room I don't want to discredit Holiday Inn as typically they provide a very nice stay but this last visit was an exception and really should have been handled better from this locations staff and management. I am a rewards member, stay at Holiday Inn locations frequently and with this visit had made my reservations well in advance so it was not a last minute decision to stay at this location. I had the unfortunate chance to be assigned to room #117. This room connects to the mechanical room for the property where I assume pool pumps, hot water heater and so forth are located. I did not arrive and check into the property until about 10pm after a long day of work; all i could have ever wished for was a good nights rest. This particular room, every time the hotels water is utilized, a pump or something engages and it literally sounds like a jackhammer is trying to come through the wall to your room. Absolutely impossible to sleep! I notified the front desk clerk at 10:30p and more or less got a blank look and a "i'm sorry, nothing i can do". At 11:30p I decided to make another plea and the shift had changed and another clerk gave me an honest answer and informed me he absolutely agreed and that he never, ever if at all possible put guest in this room b/c of the problem. Maybe there was more too the situation, maybe there was a mechanical failure of some sort that was causing the loud pounding noise but it was the lack of concern that really was frustrating. Yes, the next day after i informed the desk clerk i would check out and find another hotel before staying another night in that room, i was granted a move to a different room but they really made very little apology, I felt like they sort of could have cared less and why I even paid for the first nights stay is baffling to me even today other than i was so tired i could barely think straight; I should have at least asked for a comp or some rewards points to ease the frustration. Anyway, i have never written a review on the thousands of overnight hotel stays i have experienced in my work career but this one is well deserved just as a friendly notice to anyone else who may have the unfortunate chance of getting room 117. Used a room for business meeting and the staff was very accommodating, helping order the pizzas, etc. April 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel Good stay at hotel. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. No problems. There was a $1.50 charge on my bill that I don't know why and I didn't ask about it because I didn't notice it till I got home, but for all I know my kids could have charged a soda or something to our room and $1.50 certainly isn't worth haggling over. Overall would stay here again and recommend the hotel. April 24, 2015

It was a positive experience because of a very courteous and friendly staff. Our team really enjoyed the facility and the breakfast was a favorite. April 14, 2015
