As we arrived and were greeted at the desk not only by Alex and Dylan but another who may have been the hotel manager. I knew the hotel staff were all about customer service. Recognized as a platinum member by Alex. Our room was on the fourth floor. Spotless I might add. Love that they give you two pillow choices and the beds super comfortable. The only negative were the towels. They may have seen their better days ( but not a deal breaker).
We asked at the desk for something to do for a few hours and Dylan directed us to the Hofbrauhaus in Newport just across the river. Beer excellent of course and nice place to walk around by the river. Was very nice.
Breakfast....because we visit HIE more often than not I think the breakfast choices are due for an update. We actually stop for coffee and maybe yogurt only. The staff attending the breakfast were very at attentive and smiling always. Wish more people would tip them as I am sure they don't make great wages and some really do a great job.
So Alex did live up to his reputation...as did the entire staff at this location. Kudos to the manager.

You'll find a clean, inviting property. It's minutes away from Kings Island and nearby shopping options. My family enjoyed staying at this property.

We had made the reservation weeks ahead and requested a room with two beds due to traveling with our daughter. A room with two beds was not available and was told to ask if one came available upon checking in. There was about 300 kids that just arrived to hotel on tour buses in town for some type of school choir competition. That is why no double beds were available. We were surprised to find that the sofa in the room was a pullout and extra sheets and pillows were already in the room. This was a nice surprise that made our stay more comfortable. We initially thought that the night would be chaotic due to so many young kids at the hotel potentially running the hallways all night but they must have all spent the day at Kings Island because we never heard a peep from them. The staff was polite and the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay and will be back when we pass through Mason, Ohio again.

The stay here was very good. The room was quit and I was upgraded to a bigger room with a little more space. The facitlity is beautiful and in a great location close to places to eat.

Very nice hotel and wonderful staff. Very nice room. Breakfast was great and nice variety. Bathroom was clean except there was some mold along the bottom of the shower curtain. The room air conditioner works as designed but seemed to let the room get too warm before kicking in and then it would get very cold in the room before turning off. Temperature swing was wide. The room size and amenities were very nice however.
