I don't know the history of the building, but for Queens it looks like a brand new hotel. Everything was perfectly clean and organized. Pool has a slide and looks clean, although I didn't have time to use it. Very helpful staff. McDonald's right next door, but for local foods just take a walk up the streets, there is an Italian restraunt and a fresh bakery. Still have some pretty views of Manhattan on a clear day, see windows in the stairwells.

I loved how Anna and Andrea greeted my family as we drove into Queens, NY. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding(we appreciated how the breakfast staff greeted the guests). The rooms were clean and comfortable. I am so thankful for Anna, who helped me find my way on the subway to the city by either printing off routes or drawing on the subway maps. She went over and above what we expected. It was also apparent that Andrea creates a positive working environment where her staff had fun but were efficient. The prices were right, the service was professional, and our stay was wonderful!!!

The staff made my first stay in New York City with my daughter a memorable one. They provided great advice, were exceptionally professional and caring. On my last morning there, the front desk/lobby area was very busy, yet the staff were able to multi-task easily without compromising at all their level of service. This was also very impressive.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pinkjen This is where I'll stay every time I'm in NYC
This is a decent stay for the price in NYC. It's very close to everything and the taxi from the hotel to Grand Central was a 10 minute ride and about $53, which to me, to not have to drive in NYC traffic is well worth the price.
The room was decent, I think the price was a little steep, however in comparison to anything else in NYC or Brooklyn I guess this was cheap. The only thing I noticed was that the room smelled a bit, almost like there was mildew or mold in the A/C. It wasn't anything overpowering, but just enough that my allergies noticed.
The continental breakfast is decent as well. I recommend pretty much anything other than the eggs... there's bagels, yogurt, granola, cereal, etc. There really is a great assortment. If this isn't your thing, you're literally right next door to a 24 hour McDonald's.
As average as this stay was... it was a great place to stay for the city and I will pretty much always stay here now that I'm aware of how central it really is.

Great hotel - clean and inviting from the outside; nice staff; great breakfast and accommodating shuttle services to the train station (and nearby airport). There weren't many restaurants close enough to walk to; and although the shuttle provided service to the train station; we had to grab a taxi for the return. Once on the train - it was a quick ride back and forth into the City.

The breakfast provided were very good and staff work in the area were very friendly. The food were fresh and there were enough food, even for the people come the last minute. I also like the service of 24 hour coffee or tea.
