Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel with a heart. Had a number of family members in town for a family funeral. The staff were most kind and helpful to us during this time. Some members of our party stayed over to reacquaint with family and friends. We were able to gather and visit in the dining area after the breakfast meal. Hopefully it won't just be funerals that pulls us back to our McAlester roots- but whether it is or not- when we are in town and need overnight accomodations, we will stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stat was real nice, and the staff were excellent, didn't eat the breakfast because there was a out of town football team staying there and the breakfast area was too packed to get in there, and when we did it was pretty much empty on food, they couldnt keep up.... we just checked out and went down the street and ate a a local diner November 12, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Decent overall, but needs tightening up My overall experiences with Holiday Inn hotels are generally pretty good. I believe them to be a good value and appreciate the IHG points system. I have stayed at the McAlester HI before and the experience was pleasant. During my most recent stay, I found some things to be lacking. I went to make a pot off coffee in my room and the area was dark. I went to turn on the lamp and it didn't work. I turned on the overhead light instead. After preparing the coffee pot, I turned it on and the coffee pot didn't work.. Disappointing. On my final day of my stay, I usually expect to have my receipt for my stay pushed under my door that morning. That didn't happen. I went to the front desk to checkout and get a receipt, the printer didn't work. I was in a hurry, so the person attending the front desk offered to e-mail me the receipt. 36hrs later, I still don't have it. While the hotel was clean and the staff friendly, it's the little things that make a difference to me. October 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good choice The hotel is conveniently located, friendly staff, nice rooms, excellent internet. My only issue was that the room was at 61 degrees on check in,,,,,,a little cold for me. But, it warmed up quickly once I found the temp control. They were doing some upgrades at the exterior but no issues getting around. Parking is a little quirky but unless they are full no issues. Overall, a great hotel and I will stay there on my next visit. October 31, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff My hotel experience in McAlester was awesome. I've never given a review before, but I believe this is well deserved. Tamantha was my first point of contact when I checked in and she was so polite and professional. There was only a couple rooms left and I was taken care of. I had a few questions and she had the answers......She made me feel welcomed as most of the staff, when I check in at the HI Express, but Tamantha seemed very genuine, and I like that. I'll be heading back to McAlester in the next few months and I sure hope she is there when I check in. A ray of sunshine. October 27, 2014
