The service was descent when we were there for two nights. The rooms were nice, and it has a good location. But about three days after our stay came to an end they charged me a second time for the night. This was on a debit card so overdrew, the managers were pretty hard to get a hold of.. But once I did, he was helpful to call the bank and such. This call to the bank took about an hour, which was extremely inconvenient. Although the manager was helpful I would expect some form of credit to the hotel.

There are many good Holiday Express hotels, but this sets the standard all of them should strive for.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PRFDCPT2 Dirty Bathroom and Rude Front Desk
I stay at the Hunt Lodge 3-4 times every year and this last visit was the worst ever. When I made my reservation by phone, the guy was very rude when I inquired about a Government Rate. When checked in, turned the refrigerator on and it made a very high pitch noise, called front desk and asked if there was another room available so I didn't have to listen to that, I was told "just turn it off", I said that defeats the purpose when I had stuff for my child that needed to be cold. Then I went to take my toddler to the bathroom, thankfully I carry lysol wipes as I had to clean the poo off the toilet, literally, before i'd let her sit on it. Disgusting. Didn't figure it was worth a call downstairs after the way the last call was handled. So, I go to give my daughter a bath, and again, thanks for the lysol wipes, I had to clean the tub before letting her in there too. Exhausted from being on the road for too long, we just gave up and went to bed. Still, disgusted and upset, we didn't bother with breakfast. Went across the street to the pancake house. This may just keep us from ever staying there again.
