Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hot diggity Dog Great hotel experience. The front desk girls Rachael and Kayla were were top of the line, they made me feel right at home. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The manager's reception/happy hour was just icing on the cake. Pattye showed more hospitality than I have ever experienced before at any hotel. I'm ashamed to say but my momma couldn't have made it that nice. The holiday inn express in McComb has got my vote for the one of the top hotels in Mississippi. November 10, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Experience My wife and I stayed the night at this hotel on 09/27/14. We are platinum elite members. We were not greeted as such members, nor offered a welcome gift/points, nor offered a free upgraded. Once we asked about the welcome points we were told we would get them and as of today 11/04/15 we have yet to get our points. Also, the morning we were preparing to leave a member of the cleaning staff (male) attempted to enter our room without knocking even though we had the do not disturb sign on the door. We were fortunate that we had the slide lock enforced on the door or my wife would of been exposed as she had just got out of the shower. Needless to say it was not a good experience. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brick & Morter 'Great', Staff 'failed the hospitality test' As is the case with all customers, my experience began at check-in. After an eleven hour drive I arrived to the hotel in the early morning hours (somewhere around 2:30 in the morning. I was looking for a speedy check-in as I already had a reservation at the location. Most IHG locations are very efficient at the process. My experience, not so much. I am not quite sure if the gentleman behind the counter was just very new and not sure of the check-in process, or if he was just EXTREMELY slow. Anyways, I was finally checked in and given a room key. When I entered the room I looked for the Privacy Please door hanger as I needed some rest, but there was wasn't a door hanger. The next morning I was awakened by house keeping knocking at the door. I had only had a few hours sleep at this point. I went to the door, but did not open it. I simply spoke through the door loudly enough that I should have been heard saying I did not need any room service, thank you. Well, the knocking continued until I ended up having to open the door and tell the lady that I did not need any room service. After getting out that day, upon my return to the hotel, I stopped by the front desk and picked up a privacy door hanger. I was to stay a total of 4 nights and the next couple of days were going to be a 48 hour straight run at work site, so I wanted to make sure that when I got back to my room I would be able to sleep uninterrupted and check out late on the last day. The last night I was to stay at the hotel, I stopped by the front desk and told them I needed a late check-out. The lady at the front desk said that would not be a problem. Well, the next morning at 11:15am the calls to the room and the knocking on the door began asking if I was checking out. Mind you, I stopped by the front desk and let them know, I am a platinum member and had the Privacy hanger on the door. The house keeper that was knocking on the door was pretty persistant and I got aggravated between the calls and the knocking on the door, that I packed my suitcase and checked out and drove 11 hours back to my home. Hopefully management will work on getting staff up to speed on hospitality and customer service. I am a pretty easy going person, but this really irritated. October 19, 2014
