Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brick & Morter 'Great', Staff 'failed the hospitality test' As is the case with all customers, my experience began at check-in. After an eleven hour drive I arrived to the hotel in the early morning hours (somewhere around 2:30 in the morning. I was looking for a speedy check-in as I already had a reservation at the location. Most IHG locations are very efficient at the process. My experience, not so much. I am not quite sure if the gentleman behind the counter was just very new and not sure of the check-in process, or if he was just EXTREMELY slow. Anyways, I was finally checked in and given a room key. When I entered the room I looked for the Privacy Please door hanger as I needed some rest, but there was wasn't a door hanger. The next morning I was awakened by house keeping knocking at the door. I had only had a few hours sleep at this point. I went to the door, but did not open it. I simply spoke through the door loudly enough that I should have been heard saying I did not need any room service, thank you. Well, the knocking continued until I ended up having to open the door and tell the lady that I did not need any room service. After getting out that day, upon my return to the hotel, I stopped by the front desk and picked up a privacy door hanger. I was to stay a total of 4 nights and the next couple of days were going to be a 48 hour straight run at work site, so I wanted to make sure that when I got back to my room I would be able to sleep uninterrupted and check out late on the last day. The last night I was to stay at the hotel, I stopped by the front desk and told them I needed a late check-out. The lady at the front desk said that would not be a problem. Well, the next morning at 11:15am the calls to the room and the knocking on the door began asking if I was checking out. Mind you, I stopped by the front desk and let them know, I am a platinum member and had the Privacy hanger on the door. The house keeper that was knocking on the door was pretty persistant and I got aggravated between the calls and the knocking on the door, that I packed my suitcase and checked out and drove 11 hours back to my home. Hopefully management will work on getting staff up to speed on hospitality and customer service. I am a pretty easy going person, but this really irritated. October 19, 2014

After staying at this particular hotel during the work week for the past couple of months, I feel like the staff are my family and the hotel is my home away from home. Kayla, one of the staff, always has my key ready before I arrive. The check-in process is quick and smooth as silk. She really knows her job well. (She also bakes great cookies!) In the evenings, Pattye, who takes care of what I affectionately refer to as "Happy Hour", always has a cold bottle of water and a smile for me when I walk through the hospitality room doors. She introduces me to the people she knows, and really does her best to make everyone comfortable and to spread a little happiness after the work day. The hotel is clean, and in great working order #...although I have been in one suite that I found to be dusty, and the carpet was cruddy. I haven't been in that room again, so I don't know whether it's been thoroughly cleaned or not.# The maintenance person, Alan, can fix anything! And if it's not right the first time, he'll make it right. The breakfast choices are standard across Holiday Inn, as far as I know, and most find it lacking. However, the woman that takes care of the breakfast services always greets me, and usually stays ahead of the guests' needs. She's always willing to help me out when the pancake machine acts up. While there is a variety of food available, the quality of the food is where I have a problem. I know they have to freeze it, which limits what they can offer. I just can't bring myself to eat paper thin bacon strips and egg patties that I'm not so sure started off as real eggs. Other than a general wariness of the germs and cleanliness in ALL hotel brands, I have no complaints about the Holiday Inn Express in McComb, Mississippi. September 27, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Boss There was problem with incoming water pressure. People in the second fore could not use their shower. In the first floor there still was water pressure. Why didn't the hotel personnel offer usage of first floor showers? No discount eather . Loundry room notice kept me awake. Thank you September 6, 2014
