We've been staying at HIE's for years and this one tops them all. We used reward points for our stay and were given a lovely King Jacuzzi suite. Staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy. There was a Manager's Cocktail Party (a first for us) that included meatballs, pasta salad, other goodies and 25 cent cocktails. The hostess was a delight and no additional supper was necessary. The dining room was full and everyone had a great time. The hot buffet breakfast was equally good. For cleanliness, value and service you can't beat this place.

My husband and I have stayed about 4 or 5 times at this hotel in the past and have been very pleased each time with the service. All of the little touches (soup, cookies, cocktails, water bottles, newspaper, internet, etc.) make you feel very comfortable and well taken care of when travelling. This stay was just one night and by myself.
I had a problem with the tv in my room in the morning after it worked fine the previous night. There was sound, but the screen was blank. I called the front desk and was told someone would come up, but had to call again. Someone then came right away, fixed the problem, and told me it was due to the fact that the hotel just got HDtv.
The tv continued to skip a little and when I mentioned it to the housekeeper as I was checking out of the room, she insisted that I receive a credit. We went down to the front desk and the manager(?) asked me how much of a credit I would like because she wanted me to be happy. I was shocked to be asked and requested a credit of $25. I felt much better that I received a good credit for my inconvenience. I left feeling very content and would absolutely come back again.

Everyone and I mean everyone at this hotel is the best. As a platinum member I travel 24/7 and Meadville Holiday Inn Express is by far the greatest place I stay. I need to also point out Connie and Amy go above and beyond to make sure every stay is you best stay. They truly care about their customers and treat the Hotel as if it is their own business. When staying at other hotels you really miss the little things that they do that other hotels do not.

Great customer service!!!! When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and offered cold drinks, cookies, popcorn, and soup. The day of departure, the breakfast spread was yummy so and much more than we expected! We got offered bottles of water for our trip out! The room was VERY comfortable and met our needs, and exceeded our expectations! The staff was rated excellent in customer service!! If we are back in Meadville, we will definitely stay at Holiday Inn Express!!!!! Thank you!

We have for the past several years used the Holiday Inn Express chain as our "go-to" stop for our annual trek from Ontario to Florida and back.
This particular hotel stands out among the others for a variety of reasons but the most satisfying is the service we received, from the smiles to the warm cookies on arrival. I highly reccommend this H.I. for anyone travelling this route be it business folk or vacationing seniors such as ourselves.
It also doesn't hurt to have a really nice restaurant directly in front of the hotel where guests can walk to instead of getting back in the car and driving after a long day on the interstate.

I have stayed at this hotel for close to eight years. I have watched staff move on and staff join on. It is always tough to see your favorites move on to other opportunities; however, it is telling of the training and qualities these individuals display from the relationships their hospitality develops. Recently, I have noticed this same increased level of friendliness from the housekeeping staff. I have stayed in several 'high end' chains and I receive the same or better care at the Meadville HIE.
Teamwork at it's finest. Truly.

Staff were very pleasant and friendly to deal with. Gave us a recommendation to a local restaurant, (Chovy's - located right in front of the hotel), as well as coupons for wine and a discount on the meal. Dinner was delicious and very reasonably priced. Good location for shopping at Grove City Outlets or in Erie. Will definitely stay there again.

Hotel wise it's your standard nice HIExpress hotel with pool and such. However, what set it apart was the staff were VERY pleasant and helpful when we arrived. Although we arrived late after four hour ride in the snow...we just missed a sort of mini-bar they had setup for a very nominal fee. They had cookies, cupcakes, popcorn and even home made chili as well. Breakfast had just about all the choices you'd want...both hot and cold. Great location right off the interstate. Will stay there again if in the area!

I stay at HIX as often as possible, as I believe it is generally a good value. At this stay in Meadville, I was annoyed that there were no coffee packets in the room when I went to make a pot of coffee in the AM. However, this was somewhat mitigated by the fact that there is coffee in the cafe 24 x 7.
As at most HIX properties, I'm never heappy with the lighting over the bed. There is only one table lamp close to the bed. Anyone on the other side of the bed who tries to read is unable to do so. I typically voice this complaint on every review I write and have been doing so for the past few years. Come on Holiday Inn - not everyone watches TV all the time. Some of us read.

I don't know where to begin. From day one, I was sold on this property, the staff, and the accommodations. I'm not a frequent visitor, perhaps 3 or 4 times a year. But Holiday Inn Express Meadville has become my home away from home whenever I have had to take or pick up my daughter from college.
It began in 2010 or 2011, when my daughter and I were first visiting Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. At check in, mind you, my first check in, when it was learned that my daughter may attend Allegheny College, the General Manager told me that if Allegheny became the college of choice, and if she ever needed a ride to the Pittsburgh airport, 90+ miles away, do not hesitate to contact the Holiday Inn Express Meadville. That someone there would be more than happy to take her. That same offer was just reiterated this month, 1/11-13/2013. That's one AWESOME offer!
Since that first visit, we have never been disappointed in any way. Each visit has been a new, awesome, experience.
The inverted-pyramid is my preference of rating staff. Therefore, I will say that from the Maintenance Crew all the way down to the General Manager, it is one perfectly-run establishment.
One visit is recalled when, walking in the corridor, a maintenance man greeted me and asked if there was anything he could help me with. AWESOME! That's not part of his everyday routine.
No matter what floor I am on or which room I occupy, the room attendants treat me as though I am a special guest. They have always been friendly, courteous, and, efficient. I have never once found anything to complain about with the rooms. The corners, the drawers, behind the furniture, (yes, I check, as I was in hospitality for several years), and I have never found anything amiss, not so much as a dust ball. AWESOME!
The Express Breakfast Bar is amazingly ran with the entrepreneurship of a fine-dining restaurant. The staff don't just see to it that the food is fresh and appealing, they also look after each guest as though they are the most important people around. The staff takes the time to visit with and get to know their guests. They take the initiative to be friendly to their guests. AWESOME!
The front desk staff is truly phenomenal! The other month when I called about my reservation, the desk clerk knew me before I had time to identify myself. (I call only 3 or 4 times a year!) They are the most friendly, accommodating, and, courteous staff I have encountered. AWESOME!
And now, the bottom of the pyramid – and this is why the structure is so strong: The General Manager! This is not a 9 to 5 job that she goes to everyday. It certainly appears that hospitality is her life, her calling. From my perspective, hospitality is the core of her being. While maintaining professionalism, she is totally comfortable mingling with the guests. It is her demeanor that flows through the entire staff, giving the Holiday Inn Express Meadville this AWESOME review.
What do I have upon which to base these statements? We have three children in college. Therefore, I am a guest at various Holiday Inn Express Hotels. None of the others can hold a candle to the Holiday Inn Express Meadville. To me, it is the top of the line! -AWESOME-
My wife and I are planning a get-a-way there this spring.

We stayed here one night on our way home from Florida.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and warm. The rooms
were exceptional as was the breakfast. There were more items
and a better variety then your usual Holiday Inn Express.
Breakfast area and lobby were tastely decorated and very
comfortable. I would definetely stay here again and would highly
recommend it. Worth the stop. Thanks again.

When calling about the reservation, the Front Desk Clerk, Brittany, knew who I was before I identified myself - Fantastic voice recognition!
Upon arrival, I was greeted by name by Liz.
The room was beyond my expectations.
The staff in the Breakfast Bar are outstanding! And the quality and appearance of the food is exceptional.
The care and maintenance of the property is beyond reproach.
Overall, the Holiday Inn Express Meadville is the best Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed at.

It was perfect after traveling to visit several family members in different places. We needed a nice place to just relax. The staff couldn't do enough. Very service oriented.
My only comment would be, I wish the bathroom was bigger.

This was my second time staying at this Holiday Inn. I was very impressed the first time and therefore booked it again. Not disappointed! We did have an issue with late night noise coming from the adjoining room (not that the hotel had anything to do with that). We called down to the front desk around 2 a.m. and within 5 minutes the noise stopped. The next morning we had a letter under our door apologizing for the inconvenience and certificate for Priority Points. What more could you ask for! Would definately stay again!
