Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by humidity problem We had a humidity problem in room 107. Because it was a room for disabled persons there was an open shower. But the water of the shower went straight on the carpet of the room. Therefore it was allways wet on the side of our bed. Not nice at all!!! May 14, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good renovated rooms They are currently renovating the hotel. Two floors have been completed. The other floors, hallways, lobby and restaurant will be up next. I had a good stay there. It is right in the middle of the city but not to busy. I stayed there because of business in Brussels. The distance is not to far and the hotel is a good economic option with a fair spread of breakfast options. I will stay there the next time. March 1, 2014

The staff were nice and helpful, but the main thing it just wasn't clean or pleasant. For example, the bins with the laundry are out in the open by the elevators and on the floor I got off on by the elevator... February 6, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty nice hotel In average, this hotel was very nice choice for us. Breakfast was good enough to enjoy. In general, we didn't have any problem to stay here. Only huge problem was the heater was broken and we visited around Christmas. Since its winter, when i entered to the room, window was still opened and i felt very cold from that. I asked to turn on heater but whole central heating system was broken at the wing of our side of hotel. To figure that out, hotel took more than an half hour and still didn't call to us why the heating doesn't work. Then I called to reception again to check what is going on there. At the end, Hotel offered us to use electronic heater. It was definitely not enough to heat up the whole room. We checked in hotel in the night so we didn't spend that much time in the room to feel the cold. I hope next time, heater will work. December 30, 2013

Walls/windows did not prevent noise - we thought the window was open. Not enough electric outlets. The staff, led by Mgr., Joris, were spectacular! Very caring and genuinely pleasant. We would go directly there for that at the next opportunity despite the room. Great breakfast included. November 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No lift from basement car park Hotel well situated in centre of Mechelen. Parked in underground car park on arrival only to find there was no lift to reception. Forced to push son's wheelchair up very steep ramp to access reception on ground floor; only just managed to do this! Disabled guests with Blue Badge permit also pay 16euro daily charge. Despite booking accessible room which was not evident to receptionist on arrival she immedidately secured suitable room for our stay, much to my relief. Breakfast was nice experience; cold buffet items, simple but effective. Temperature was difficult to control within accessible room at front of hotel with too much noise from street outside. Room was spacious however and easy to get around in wheelchair. Needed internal lift to access room but it was small and difficult to access (with storage of laundry crates on ground floor entry). Reception staff helpful and polite at all times. I took recommendation of which chocolate shop to visit....very nice!! Good choice of literature showing places to visit. Took the opportunity to visit nearby Kazerne Dossin. October 26, 2013

It could use some fresh paint, it is high-priced. Frankly, I only stay here for the points. It is a very typical European hotel. Mini-parking spaces at high prices and mini rooms. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just ok! The room size is fine, it's clean but the beds are small especially the sofa bed and very uncomfortable. There were no pillows and sheets to cover the sofa bed. If there are four people in a room, it should have 4 towels. No one answered in the entrance door to let us in after parking in the basement. September 8, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service, good value Stayed with 3 children for one night. Location is brilliant with a safe parking garage. Just 5 mins. Walk from the big square. Receptionist was absolutely fabulous; very friendly and professional. We had a family room. It was clean and ok. If you want luxury, then go somewhere else. It was fine for us. Bathroom door had a smart feature, that made it possible to use the shower and still leave the toilet available(very handy for a large family). Brilliant! Good beds and coffee and tea facilities. Breakfast was ok, but missing some whole grain bread.....typical European breakfast. I did find boiled eggs, but they were cold. But, we paid a very good price, so we got great value for our money. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean comfortable hotel, super friendly and helpful staff First let me say that this is one of the more picturesque cities that we walked through on our 2-week vacation in Europe. There were many beautiful cities that we saw, but this was definitely one of the more scenic ones. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. She pointed out a restaurant within walking distance and we had one of the best meals that we have had in a long time. Lastly, whether by accident or not we got the largest room we had on our entire trip. It was a corner room that had a nice view of the street below.
