We always enjoy staying at this hotel when we are in Medford. It has a great location with many different businesses to access as needed. The rooms are always clean and the beds are very comfortable. The only thing I would suggest changing is the plastic toilet seat. it is quite flexable and there are times when I think it will break. The lighting over the sink is the only ones in the bathroom so the shower area is a little dark but manageable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling in the area.

As an IHG gold member, I always first seek out an Holiday Inn Express when I am planning a trip. I know I will find the accommodations to be clean, of good quality and comfortable. Their staff are always friendly and they go out of their way to be helpful. My latest visit to Medford, Oregon was no exception - their high standards were apparent.
One of my sisters joined me so we could take in a musical performance in the area. The location of the hotel was a good meeting place as we came from different towns.

We stay here every year as part of a two-day drive between the Bay Area and Tacoma, Washington. It's a good spot to stop and the price is right. The amenities don't feel "cheap" either. Nothing wrong with the breakfast provided, either.

The room had been smoke in the hotel staff was unable to do any thing
When I check out the next day I had ask that the manage call me about my stay
I never receive a call from the manager
How come the hotel cleaning staff did not bring this to the attention of their manager or supervisor

Preface, I love HIE, good value and dependably comfortable rooms.
This hotel does have, in my opinion, problems at the front desk. I think mostly inexperience employees. I had a billing issue that was not resolved without 2 calls to the hotel after the trip home. I think with more experienced people behind the front desk with the training necessary to investigate the problem it could have been resolved before I left. Anyhow, 3 days and 500 miles later, it's fixed. I appreciate that.
The hotel is nicely located, a Harry and David right next door for snacks and gifts. It's quiet, well off I-5. Old historic down town is but a 3 minute drive. We enjoyed a nice dinner at the Porter restaurant in the old train station.
The breakfast area is small for a hotel of it's size, just go down early for easy seating.
I'll continue with HIE.

Upon checkin at 3 pm, our room was not ready. Had to wait 40 minutes after travelling for 7 hours. Impacted what we had to accomplish that day.

We arrived at 7:40 pm to find several people waiting for their rooms and ours not ready either. It seems they were short on staff by two housekeeping people and they had not caught up yet. Instead of sitting with everyone else and stewing we went to dinner. When we returned we were in hopes our room was ready, BUT there was a note to call on the house phone to get help. We called and the only phone we could hear ringing was at the front desk. No one answered. We waited a few minutes and tried again. This time someone answered and we were told a room was ready. It was 9:00 and we were extremely tired. No apologies or anything were offered....disappointing!

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have
had good service, but this was horrible. Desk staff totally unapologetic re: 45-minute delay at check in; did not follow through on an request for wakeup call; desk computer wasn't working on checkout and could not get a copy of my bill and was promised it would be sent by e-mail and still haven't received it 4 days after leaving.
Breakfast food selection and quality mediocre at best and not any where near other Holiday Inn hotels.
