We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Memphis Southwind for 4 nights. We did not have wifi for most of the time. We had to go to Starbucks for wifi to work on our online classes. This was very inconvienient.
The pool needs cleaning and pool towels. We asked the front dest for pool towels and one of the clerks said "don't you have towels in your room?"
Our room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good.

We stay at Holiday Inn Express a lot, and are generally very pleased with our stay there. It is a dependable brand, and generally located well for our travel experience. This was our second stay at the Memphis Southwind hotel. The room was clean and well proportioned; the staff was excellent in all aspects. I had two complaints on this visit. There was water on the floor surrounding the refrigerator when we woke the morning of our stay; and the internet connection as only available sporadically.

Spiders on bed when I checked in, Room service left my room with a stack of wet towels in my bathroom and no parking for 2 of the 3 nights I was there. I was not happy with this hotel

Great place to stay in Memphis! The staff and accommodations were excellent! Cleanliness and attention to detail exceeded all expectations! If you're searching for a place to relax and enjoy your time in the Memphis area, look no further. Overall value is unbeatable!

I stay at this hotel time and time again. It provides consistent service and most of the staff are great. I found the breakfast selections this time very limited and all the fruit was "aged" (for lack of a better word) but this seems to be an exception, not the norm.
However, the one thing that continues to plague this hotel is the poor internet service. This traditionally did not bother me because I would use a Ethernet cable which worked fine, but they now have eliminated that feature. For 2 out of the 3 days I could not access the wireless not matter what I did. I ended up having to tether from my cell phone.
If Southwind would fix this issue, then they would be a consistent 5 stars for me.

We came down to Memphis for a golf tournament and were unsure about the general area. I booked this hotel based proximity to the golf course, price and reviews. I was very pleasantly surprised. It seems to be new, very clean, nice spacious rooms and very comfortable. The hotel is in a safe area within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast did not suite me because I like bacon and eggs and not so much a continental breakfast. I prefer to go to Crackerbarrel, Dennys, IHOP, Perkins for breakfast. But I would stop in and get a cup of orange juice.

everyone that I had come in contact with was very friendly, the young lady that checked me in was very professional & knowledgeable of the area. The housekeeping staff was amazing always speaking when I was in the hallway. The breakfast attendant was friendly & the breakfast was awesome. I can't wait for my next visit. You have an amazing staff.
