Despite my feeling that this facility is understaffed, the people that work here are pleasant and go out of their way to help you. The noise level was a bit of an issue, however I believe that was related to the location of our room. The breakfast bar could use a little help. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. I stay at many Holiday Inn Express locations. This one is nice but has just a few things to work on.

Need an extra staff on busy weekend like when I was there. Girl at front desk had to leave at least twice to go to rooms for problems. She had to empty garbage in breakfast area. Staff person in breakfast area did an excellent job, but could not keep up with the influx of people.
Pancake machine from earlier reviews I had read, was still broken.

The good: The bed was outstanding and there's a washer & dryer. (Hence the two stars.)
The bad: First…Fair warning to other Platinum members...you only get a quick "thank you" for your loyalty. That's it. Expect nothing more. Second: No fridge or microwave. They have loaner fridges but when requested, the last one was inexplicably given out. Funny how the neighboring property has fridges and is one third the rate this HIE charges. But hey, this stay was paid with reward points. Not much of a reward really. Lastly: The room was more than ample size, however I had difficulty dealing with the room’s aroma. It was a combination of cat urine and human sweat.
At the point of checking-out, no one was at the counter; I just put the key on the counter and left. What an embarrassing property.
If there's a response from the GM, that's great. If not, that's great too.
