I have no idea why this HIE has as low a rating as it has. It is new, clean, quiet, and comfortable. I was reluctant to stop there based on some of the reviews but I'm certainly glad we did. I wish all the Holiday Inn Expresses we're this nice. It had everything you could want for breakfast and two staff were on hand to keep things supplied and clean. Great place!!

From the time we checked in to the time we left, the employees were very friendly and helpful. We had a good conversation with the lady in the breakfast room.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by skeletor musty odors
I spent the last 5 weeks here, between two different rooms, and the rooms in this hotel have a musty smell that you can't air out (windows don't open).
Also there are smoking rooms scattered all over the place, so the hallways everywhere smell of cigarette smoke.
I decided to move to the holiday inn one exit down the highway. It's not much more expensive, and is much nicer.

The location was based on the distance of our trip from TN to FL we chose to stop over in Meridan. We stay on Holiday Inn Express as often as possible because of the NO SURPRISE RULE. We know what is expect.

Everything was clean and well kept. Breakfast in hotels like this are never up to a high standard. Eggs from a carton and bacon the thickness of a ribbon just isn't good. Don't let that stop you from staying there. Goo place overall!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Meridian Holiday Inn Express. The room, lobby & dining room were spotless. We were able to use the coin laundry machine - which was also clean. The pool was the perfect temperature. All this was fantastic, but it was the staff that made the stay that much more enjoyable! thank you :)
PS ~ There's a phenomenal Mexican restaurant next door that we highly recommend!!!!!
