The rooms where clean and comfortable. It was a much nicer hotel than I had expected for the town in which it was located. The breakfast was very good. Other Holiday Inns I have stayed at could learn from this hotel about making a good breakfast.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nootsie24 Clean room and great staff
It was a very nice place to stay while visiting with friends in the area. The room was clean and very comfortable for the price. The staff was so friendly... made me feel like I was a member of their family. I really enjoyed my experience and will stay again when I'm in the area and need a room.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LMULaxFan ALWAYS a great experience!
My son is a freshman at LMU. We have stayed here 3 times (initial visit, registration and move in day) and are planning another visit in early October. This hotel has always been clean and comfortable. The desk staff has always been courteous and helpful. There are other places to stay in Middlesboro, and some may cost less, but I believe the little extra we paid is worth it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kurt1115 Nighttime staff were a bit surly otherwise a great place to stay.
We were grateful there was a room for all of us. Upon check-in, we were greeted by a less than enthusiastic gentleman. Not friendly in any way. We had been traveling all day and checked in late at night. Actually, there were two men working that night and neither one of them acknowledged us in any way. The guy who checked us in did or said nothing more than the minimum to get our payment and give us our keys. The other guy never quit looking at his computer screen. Other than that, we found it very comfortable, pool was a nice option for the kids. The breakfast was quite good, some homemade options made up for the fact that some of the items weren't available due to maintenance issues. Staff checking us out were extremely friendly. Gave us our points for being Priority Club members which the nighttime staff didn't. Overall, a good place to stay. Was promised 2000 points due to the evening staff's lapses, this never happened.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lester H Good place to stay when visiting Cumberland Gap
I had a very relaxed night here after a day of hiking in Cumberland Gap National Park. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. I woke up to a satisfying breakfast before hitting the road. There is some vehicle noise if your room faces the road like mine did. It did not keep me awake. But, it was noticeable. The wifi worked although it is not very fast. The only issue I had was the front desk staff could not print a receipt for me at checkout.

the people were friendly, yet professional, and always spoke when meeting me in the halls. everyone seemed to be busy, and the hotel showed it. the outside areas were clean and the plants seemed cared for. the inside was spotless!, things i always look for.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jjjjggg handicap rooms
Our room was very comfortable. We have to have a handicap room with wheel chair accessable shower. My husband does not use a wheel chair , yet, but he can't step over and into a tub shower. Handicap commodes should be in bathroom, 17". We carry a riser to put on commode but if it is not 17", he still can't get up off it by himself. Most beds are too low for him to get up off of by himself and if they are high, the mattress is to soft and he still can't get up by himself. We have yet to find a motel that completely meets our needs, but as long as he is able to go, we will continue to travel.
