Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by What you expect from a Holiday Inn I work in hospitality and know what to look for at hotels. The staff here is young college age kids who don't go above and beyond, but it also isn't expected at a hotel like this. Simple things like, letting guests use the elevator first or greeting them when they arrive are simple things to tweak though. Upon arrival I had even asked for a bell cart and was told there was likely one by the front door. It was 10:30 pm and I was carrying my sleeping 2 year old... the cart wasn't there and I wasn't given assistance to find one. The breakfast was a nice touch to include within the hotel room price. Rooms were clean and comfy. We would stay again if we were looking for a less expensive place to stay that isn't the rodeway inn motel. May 14, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Have had Better I travel in my business and find the Holiday Inn Express hotels to be very inconsistent. This one was at best average. Cons of our stay- Upon check-in a guest was having a dispute on her phone at the desk with her credit card company. Rather than put this person aside and check us in, we were left standing for 20 minutes while this person sorted our her financial difficulties. Once there, our check-in took all of 3 minutes. The breakfast area was poorly staffed. The coffee pots ran out without being refilled. The "hot fluffy eggs" were cold hard globules. However, a bus load of tourists showed up our final morning where the A team was in place and the breakfast was as it should be. The hair dryer was missing from our room with only the wall bracket. An inconsiderate neighbor (not the hotel's fault) decided to play his TV all night to help him sleep. Didn't work for us though. We changed rooms at 4:00 AM - fun. Pros - Despite the faux-pas, the desk clerks were very friendly and accommodating. Check-in could have been handled better. The night clerk accommodated our 4:00 AM move and made sure we were in a top floor room for the rest of our stay. A hair dryer was in place at the end of the day. Overall the hotel is not bad for what it is, but there's room for improvement, especially concerning the breakfast staff. May 13, 2015
