My only regret is our flight was so early we had to leave before breakfast was served. Overall very convenient to MKE and a nice quiet

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Wonderful staff and very courteous to customers. Definitely would stay here again.

I don't expect a 5-star experience when staying at a Holiday Inn so my feedback is based only on what I would expect from the brand.
The first problem I have may be an IHG problem, but it feels like a hotel issue. If you want straight hotel review, skip down past the next couple of paragraphs.
I see these bonus points packages and other packages show during the reservation process. I've yet to have one go smoothly. The package I booked here was a 10,000 bonus points package. As you can imagine, I overpaid for the room as the points offset some of the cost.
When checking out, I asked the front desk when I should check to make sure the points were deposited and was told once the reservation closed out in the system. A week later, no points so I call. The person answering said she would go in and add them. I gave a couple of business days and didn't see them show. I feel like it should be an automatic thing. There should be no manual process to it. If there is, someone needs to make sure it happens.
Now for the hotel - It was a nice location, which worked out well for our stay. The room we booked was a 2-room suite. This was nice, except the door separating the two had clear glass inserts. There was no way to change in the back room without being in clear view of the front room. It might as well have had all beds in the same room.
We also needed the sofa pull-out for the kids. I don't ever expect much from these, but this was the worst I had been on. It felt like some of the springs were broken and seemed like there wasn't much left of the mattress. With our kids being under 3, my wife and I usually each lay with one when travelling so they don't wake up scared being in an unfamiliar place. I got the sofa pull out and it made for a horrible night's sleep, not what I wanted after an early morning flight and full day of travel.
The room wasn't very clean. I found some trash still on the floors towards the corners of the room and edges of the one bed. Fine for me to deal with, but not a good feeling with kids wanting to play on the floor.
Breakfast was also a disappointment. I was just expecting a Holiday Inn level breakfast, something to make me feel better after the lack of good sleep. The pancake machine had people waiting. It wasn't working correctly and I'm not sure what the issue was. Someone would come out, open the front and then close it. That was supposed to reset it or something, but it kept showing a message the bag of mix was empty. Seeing everyone else getting frustrated with it, I didn't bother with it.
It wasn't horrible, but for what it was or was supposed to be, the value was not there and I left feeling like I wasted money.
