Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding Breakfast Bar Hostess My daughter and I were visiting my older daughter and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. Everything was very warm and cozy. The lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas and there was a welcoming feel. Outstanding, however, was the hostess at the breakfast bar on Friday and Saturday morning. She greeted everyone with a warm and friendly "goodmorning" and took time to observe not only when it was necessary to replenish the items, but she also showed care and concern for the guests. She was open to conversation, if that is what you wanted, but also respectful of people's need to just be. Her name is Ellie and she was a shining jewel of our stay. December 11, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sewingmommy46 We were traveling home from Minnesota and needed a place to sleep before continuing our traveling. Everything was great! December 4, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Difficult to Find Our experience at Holiday Inn Express in Mishawaka, once we arrived, was good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The difficult part was discerning how to actually find the motel. We could find no Holiday Inn Express signs once we exited the turnpike at Exit 83. At that point, the hotel, which is a bit of a drive & four streets away from the exit, can not be seen, especially at night. We ended up driving to Mishawaka and went way out of our way . Telephone calls to the hotel produced results & directions - thank you Jason.. Signage would be very helpful to those travelers unfamiliar with Exit 83 Mishawaka. December 4, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great frontdesk and staff Wanted to thank Jason and the whole team. Went out of the way to cater to all needs and expectations. Everything down to the lobby bathrooms was kept clean. Real nice lobby atmosphere and decorations November 30, 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Updating Needed The staff and services provided at this hotel were excellent. The room I was in had some issues. Drain stop in the shower was broken. The side chair and ottoman were stained. Both were reported to the front desk so I am sure they were fixed. October 29, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Awful bed The rooms were clean, but the bed was one of the worst I have ever encountered. The facility itself is also a bit dated. October 29, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Updates and Attention to Details back I have been staying at this hotel a few times a year for about 7 years. It is in need of an upgrade bad. The bed was HARD. I mean very hard. If they updated the bedding the choice was bad. Almost painful to sleep. Internet was completely worthless. I left for dinner allowing it to download my emails. 2 hours later it was not completed from simple emails. Needs upgraded badly! I stayed in a nonsmoking room. If it was nonsmoking, it was not redone since it was a smoking room or someone had smoked in there recently and management had not “Cleaned”. It smelled bad! In the past this location was good about popping popcorn and making cookies to add that “home away from home” feel. For a traveler that sees hotels 4-8 times a month, this makes a ton of difference. Nothing this stay. Repetition of decline: Last time I stayed here the hot water heater went out in the morning. They were apologetic but offered no recourse, credit, voucher, or anything. Really, I pay for a hotel and have a COLD shower and no refund or discount? Overall this place needs upgraded or down graded. I would be surprised even disappointed if Holiday Inn allows this to remain in their brand much longer sans major upgrades. Even more I was hosting a Regional Manager to this state and had to apologize for the quality. We stayed in a newer HIE the following night in Indy. Was good to get back to what is expected and valued! October 18, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy kids and dogs When I pulled up to the front door to check in there was a teenage girl about 14 years old with a towel wrapped around her head an in a tank top and shorts (it was in the 40's that night) climbing out a first floor window and her friend shut the window behind her so she had to re enter the building through the front door. I then checked in and was given a room on the second floor at the far end of the building so I parked on the end and went in the end door. Immediately when I walked in there were a group of about four or more teenage girls of about the same age as the one crawling out the window. I had to maneuver around them. They were running up and down the halls talking loudly and slamming doors. I then got into my room which was very clean but the size of the bed pillows were ridiculously small. I have never seen pillows so small for someone to sleep on. I then had the pleasure of listening to a small dog barking for at least an hour to an hour an a half. As a pet owner I think it is wonderful that you offer pet friendly rooms but might I make the suggestion that you maybe group those guests in room closer together an put the guests without pets away from them.
