Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Handy to the Parks This unit is on the far north end of Moab, making it one of the handiest to park entrances. Everything was fine except it was under construction and the pool/hot tub was closed. I don't believe that was disclosed on the Holiday Inn website when I booked the room. Construction noise was NOT a problem, however. The included breakfast is handy, quick and convenient. Gets you out into the parks quicker. May 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bring your bikes! We mountain bike wherever we travel (even if includes business) so it was nice that this location had a room in the basement where you could lock your bike up - it was nice that we didn't have to "sneak" our fancy-schmancy bikes into the our room for safe keeping. The bike room can only be accessed by patrons with a key and there were individual bike racks within the room that we were able to lock our bikes to. They are in the middle of construction but that means that everything else is new condition which is nice. Thu Thuy (yes, that's her name...) was very helpful with our multiple requests. Excellent employee. It's located north of the town in a very scenic and quiet area. The pool was under construction as of 4/1/13 so check with them before booking if you are wanting some swim time. We will stay here the next time we're in town. April 7, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room needed some attention The door lock did not align to the door jam, resulting in lack of security. The bathroom facet dripped, not a good thing considering Moab is in the dessert. The toilet lever stuck, so I had to remove the toilet lid and pull the inside chain to flush. Shoddy workmanship all the way around. March 25, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing and uncomfortable My family of 5 stayed here while we were running a half marathon in the area. We booked a "suite" (of course they were charging top dollar because of the race) which led us to believe we would have comfortable accomodations for all of us before and after the race. The beds were comfy enough but the pull out love seat couch was terrible. Once we were able to get it pulled out it looked as if it were 50 years old. The springs were sticking up through the fabric and there was absolutely no padding. We ended up having to put the couch back together and my adult daughter had to sleep on a love seat sized couch. There was no bedding to be found in the room but the front desk clerk was able to find us some bedding and brought it to our room. The next night they brought us a hide a bed which was just as old and bad as the pull out couch and so my daughter slept on the couch again. Not a great sleeping arrangement when you are running a race! The whole place was under construction with the sound of pounding and drilling at 9:30 on a Saturday night. The hallway and stairway carpets looked as if they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. I made these reservations 3 months in advance and didn't remember seeing anything on the website about construction so be warned! It looks like it will be nice when it is done but I would advise against staying there until the construction is finished. March 18, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by moab under repair this hotel is under re-construction the first room I was given the bathroom did not work the next rooom the TV did not work. Third time all good but the staff should have known. The inside of the hotel totaly looks like a construction zone. January 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious Suite, friendly service Stayed in a Kind Suite, very spacious, clean, & comfortable. Usual Holiday Inn Express breakfast. Lobby was under construction but not an inconvenience. Exercise room should benefit from the remodel. January 30, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poorest experience at a Holiday Inn Express Noisy. No internet. Cable service spotty. Breakfast not up to Express Standards. I will reconsider my Priority use and visit another chain. January 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal All was good: room, service etc... appropriate location to visit Arches Park. Non-expensive and nice, comfortable. December 20, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value and comfort As a new property it is very nice. Moab HIE delivers the same value, breakfast, clean rooms as they all do. Staff was nice and the location right next to the highway was great. The only issue I had was that it is very dark where HIE is located and signage off the highway was non-existing, so I ended up passing HIE. It's location below the highway makes it easy to miss. However overall HIE continues to deliver and for that reason l will stay loyal to HIE. On this trip I have stayed in HIE's in Albuquerque, Moab and Pendleton. December 19, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great launching point for National Parks The hotel is conveniently located at the edge of town, close to Arches National Park. The hotel was under renovation while me and my family were there in December 2012, but we were provided a courtesy call prior to our arrival in case we wanted to cancel. It would have been nice to use the indoor pool and spa after a day of hiking and auto-touring in Arches, but we were forewarned the facilities would not be available. The hotel is really what you would expect of a Holiday Inn Express. Fairly priced, reasonably comfortable accommodations, and edible breakfast selections (perfect for a family with small kids on the go). I would highly recommend going to Moab/Arches in the late fall or early winter. The weather was perfect for hiking (50's during the day, sunny, no wind) and we practically had the park to ourselves! The town has a lot of selection of places to eat, considering the town's size. The only downside to going off season is that many of the activities are limited...but if you're mostly going for the scenery and hiking it's perfect. The prices are also hard to beat during off season. December 16, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude front desk staff I booked this hotel specifically for the indoor pool and hot tub. Your website maintaned that the pool and hot tub were open during hotel renovations. When I arrived, a sign at the front desk notified me that the pool and hot tub were closed. When I mentioned the discrepancy with the website versus the actual situation to the font desk staff I was called a liar. I was also required to give my license plate number upon check in "for emergencies", since the make and model wasn't enough information. Given that I don't have it memorized, and told that to the staff, I was told to go outside and look at my car #nevermind my luggage and toddler!# and get the number. I would not be given a room key without it. Breakfast was disgusting. Yougart and milk were not kept at proper temperatures and resulted in mild food poisoning. I will never stay here again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No complaints for what it is - too bad the indoor pool is about to be taken out We have stayed through Thanksgiving at this hotel for six years now. It has always been fun to take kids there because it has given us the chance to enjoy the spectacular landscapes around Moab while our kids (for whom these landscapes are nothing but dry rock) enjoyed the indoor pool at the Holiday Inn. We are upset that the Holiday Inn is in the process of abandoning this pool for an outdoor pool which in the future will be closed at the end of November. This is not an improvement of the hotel, rather the opposite. I guess we won't come anymore but that of course does not mean it is a bad hotel per se, the "improvements" make it just not fit our needs anymore. One complaint that we have about this year' stay is that we were not properly informed about the pool closure. We made the hotel reservation in August because we knew that the Moab hotels sell out quickly for the holidays. We were called a week before our vacation that the pool would be permanently closed. At that time, it was impossible to find any substitute for our reservation, so we had to stick with our room and no pool or abandon our holiday vacation all together. I don't believe that the hotel administration knew only a week before our stay that the pool would be closed, the hotel renovation was scheduled many month ago. Our stay this year was otherwise ok. Room fine, but nothing special. The so called suites don't deserve this name, just because there is a microwave and (really tiny) sink and fridge does not make this place a suite. Compare this with other hotel chains (e.g. Mariott suites) where you have dishes and dishwashers and kitchen counters where you can hang out. November 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our Stay in Moab - November 20112 We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn in Moab.UT. A great facility with excellent service. Hope you can get the city to allow you to have an entrance sign. We missed the entrance twice before we noted some good references. Very difficult at night. I'll bet it results in lots of U-turns down the highway. Price seemed high compared to other Holiday Inns we stay at. November 8, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ah Relaxing After a long day of driving, I was able to relax in comfort. The next day I went to Arches National Park, and liked my stay so much I stayed another day. Thank you very much!!! October 21, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location We found this HIE to have a great location, right near the entrance to Arches. We had a King Suite for 3 nights and had plenty of room. When we arrived our room needed some extra housekeeping, which they did, and from then on did a great job. We found the desk not to be very professional looking and the staff needed some lessons on friendliness. They did their jobs but were not as hospitable as we have found other HIE's. We had a hard time finding the hotel for the sign was small and not easily seen. They said they are improving the facility and we would stay at this location again. October 21, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bed was great and so was the service The people were very helpful for travel directions and places to eat dinner which turned out to be great. The room and bed was most comfortable and we would stay here again if ever in the area. October 18, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good place - bring your own coomputer It is a great location for the national parks. Not too many choices for dining if you don't have a car, but I did. So not too bad at all. The signage of the hotel needs to be improved. It is difficult to see the hotel from the road at night (since it is lower than the highway). The computers are the worse. Management has chosen not to install virus protection on the computers. Don't use those computers for anything that you want to keep safe. The hot tub and pool were okay. The staff was very friendly and eager to assist in all of my requests for directions and things to do. The breakfast had good choices of foods hot and cold along with fresh fruit. October 18, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The welcome said it all. Greeted by a most unpleasant employee, Sandra. We had a reservation at a local restaurant and asked for directions. Her answer "it's in the mortuary". We had booked the KS suite and upon entering the room and turning on the A/C we discovered it did not work. A nice young man appeared within 10 minutes and spent most of an hour trying to repair the unit. He was unsuccessful and recommended we change rooms. Sandra at first stated she did not have any rooms available but when pressed she "discovered a cancellation" and said we could come down to pick up the keys. The substitute room was smaller which at this point was OK with us, BUT she informed us that the rate would not be altered since it was a prepaid rate. It was not a prepaid rate but an advance purchase rate and the manager on duty the next morning did indeed alter the rate. The hotel space was above average, but this employee clouded the entire experience. October 17, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Moab stay I have stayed in may of your hotels and this was my worst experience. The staff was less than interested in helping me in an emergency situation. My room was noisy. While sitting in the lobby waiting for an appointment the staff was complaining about some proceedure they would have to fill out monthly and was a hassel it would be. I needed to send a fax to handle an emergency back home and the staff would not help me. I had to go to another hotel for help with this. Not my best stay in any way. The internet was so slow I could not use it half the time. October 10, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel. Good service. We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It was a stop along the way, so the quiet was welcome. October 7, 2012
